가성비 괜찮은 곳

Cons:

비밀번호를 메일로 전달했다고 하는데, 전달 받은 적이 없음. 그리고 추가적으로 비밀번호를 받을 수 있게 처리되었으면 좋겠으나 직원도 없고 비밀번호도 몰라서 몇십 분 동안 엘리베이터에 갇혀있었던 적이 있음.

ホテルみたい。
Pros:

ベッド空間が広々としていて一段なので気を使うことなく使い易い。荷物置き場もある。シャワールーム、洗面所、トイレが３つ等で、待つことなく好きな時間に利用でき音も響かない。

Cons:

物ハンガー１つしかかけられず、壁に引っ掛ける事も出来ない。Wi-Fiが弱い。

Very cozy hostel but with issues
Pros:

The hostel is very clean, cozy. And the most important for me: the air conditioning is massive! It’s cool, the wind is blown heavily, so in compare to other hostels I stayed in, it is not hot, not humid, and you sleep better.

Common room is very nice, comfortable to use laptop.
Small “kitchen”: kettle, microwave and washing basin.

Dormitory is clean, big pods with rollos and space underneath for baggage. A standard locker with digital lock is also available. Inside is light, small shelf, a hook with flashlight.

Free face and bath towels, single use slippers, toothbrush, razor.

Shower rooms with shampoo, conditioner, body soap. The washing room is huge.

Location is very close to Maruyama Park, two big supermarkets nearby. 40 minutes walk to Odori area.

Cons:

Unfortunately, there are big issues with plumbing and hot water. Instructions said that due to this problem, it is necessary to use a specific shower cabin in order to get hot water in others. But the problem is, even in that shower cabin you were not promised to get hot water. Usually 15-30 seconds of hot water then it turned to cold and it could take several minutes for hot water to come again. One time I had no water at all, so got no shower.

The shelf in my sleeping cabin was not very good attached in wasn’t horizontal so everything was falling down.

One thing more: you need a 3-digit PIN to use the elevator. You get a message in Japanese after the booking. Usually, hostels send you such important info 2-3 days before arrival. But I booked it almost 4 months before. So I absolutely missed this info. Which was a nasty surprise when I came to hostel and couldn’t use elevator and had to go look for wifi with baggage. It was my fault too but such reminder short before arrival would be nice.

If not these problems, I would have given 9 to this hostel.

Great location, very clean, good value for the price
Pros:

The location was really good, right next to two stations and the spaces were very clean and well maintained.

Cons:

There wasn't a fridge for guests and while the common area was really nice, it also served as a cafe open to the general public in a very stylish area of town so it wasn't a super comfortable space to relax in at the end of the day.
