Hotel mit Charme, perfekt für eine Nacht
Pros:

Schönes altes Haus an zentraler Lage.

Cons:

Es war überall im Haus Wasserprobleme, so dass die Tapeten Blattern warfen. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, hätte aber auch besser sein können.

Very good stop off on our journey
Pros:

The welcome was brilliant and the staff very friendly

Cons:

As we arrived late due to traffic hold ups there was no facilities to have food as we had children that needed something to eat
The manager did recommend the pub opposite but the were not serving.

Decent price for what you get.
Pros:

It was excalty what we needed for a one night stay, decent breakfast, staff were so so friendly. It could have been cleaner but wasn't awful and did us for the night.

Cons:

Could have been a bit cleaner

Pros:

There was part of the ceiling missing in the dining room which put me off my breakfast as you could see beams and cobwebs from there. Also the rooms needed very much updating, so basic , even where the kettle was there were stains of tea or coffee drips. The bathroom, well where do I start, there was a hand written note on the wall about how to use the shower. Strange smell when you walk in.

Cons:

The sheets were clean and the bed soft that's all

Stay away!!!!!
Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Everything, the place smelt bad, the rooms were very dated with a lot of mould and the carpet looked like it had been dug up by a beast of some sort. Actually left a couple hours after we booked in just couldn't lay in the beds and after reading more.reviews online decided that we can't stay there,.also my.son kept saying I don't have a good feeling about his place, wasn't going to expose him to a night of worrying either.

Needs a good renovation
Pros:

Location was great for our overnight stop . Beds were comfortable

Cons:

Very tired rooms lots of damp patches everywhere and black mould in the bathroom.
Breakfast was ok as long as you wanted the dust from the bottom of the cereal .

Nasty! After a wonderful 6 week holiday in the UK, this left a very sour taste.
Pros:

Nothing. Maybe the towels, had there been an opportunity to use them. They looked new and clean. The bed was tolerably comfortable and the linens were clean. The Internet worked.

Cons:

Had to argue to get the room on the ground floor that had been specifically promised. The room was minute, badly lit, had little furniture....not even a chair... and no comforts. No soap. The shower cubicle was large enough for a midget and appeared both grubby and dangerous. I couldn't bring myself to use it. The area of town was horrific. Most things appeared to have closed down or were boarded and shuttered, presumably against crime.
Had this been for more than a quick overnight stay I would have refused to stay.

Pros:

The location was handy with a pub across the road. Good driving access to tourist locations.

Cons:

Our beds were memory foam, at first comfy, but by morning they were not. Probably the worst beds we'd slept on during our 3 week roadtrip through England. Bathroom was very tiny as well. A fan for summer nights and iron would be useful.

Abysmal Place (Avoid at all costs)
Pros:

WTF… It’s like being transported back to the 1960s only with everything falling apart and a serious hygiene disaster thrown in. I’ve stayed in some pretty ropey hotels over the years, but this one really takes the biscuit.

Avoid at all costs. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Absolutely dire in every possible way.

Pros:

The staff were very helpful, changing our room to ground floor due to Mike's bad leg. The room was clean with comfortable bed. A good selection for breakfast including a full cooked English breakfast.
The property is old but has some charm left of years gone by.

Never again.
Cons:

The other guests were a mixture of people with mental health problems, recently released from prison and a whole host of issues which make them not safe to be around children.

Ok, but needs improvement
Pros:

Manager welcoming

Cons:

Decor very dated, public areas need a deep clean, breakfast was ok, chef needs to wear a clean jacket or apron if going to be taking the food order.
