The staff are very welcoming.Let us leave our cases whilst we popped to the shop on the day of leaving.
You can request a small jug of fresh milk from the bar for your room.
Room 15 the matress is very bad and has left me with back pain. The lift to the beach is out of order apparently it has been out of order for months. So bare that in mind if you have prams or mobility issues it's a steep walk back. parts of the pool were breaking away while we were there and someone had just left it on the side. pool lounge cushions could do with replacing .The pool area was a bit run down. We had a fixed shower head, could do with one you can move around as not everyone wants to wash there hair every day. Apparently they don't do cream teas on arrival anymore. Shame I was looking forward to that. Breakfast 8.30 to 9.30 which was only 1hr.
We had a lovely welcome - the owner and staff are exceptional. Both our rooms had an en-suite, which I wasn’t expecting. The hotel isn’t very tall, so all rooms are accessible. The pool is lovely, but the Eastmount is near the beach, so you can choose either. I had a problem with a faulty shower screen, but they fixed it the next day. They don’t do an evening meal, but there are lots of places to eat nearby and a bar at the hotel, too. The price was great, and I’d love to return soon.
I was slightly disappointed with breakfast. The hot food was fine, and there are all the usual things. One morning the yogurts were room temperature, and they are pasteurised (not live). The fruit is apples and oranges, unpeeled, and no prunes. However, plenty of cereals and a nice croissant/ham/cheese option.
sauber, Frühstücksservice
das Hochbeet hat bei jeder Drehung sehr laut gequitscht, die weiteren Hotelgäste haben wenig Rücksicht genommen (Tären ruhig schliessen etc.)
Location was excellent. Staff was also very friendly.
I personally loved the location, 5 min walk from beach that has a lift taking you up and down, 10 mins walk to the town and 10 min walk to the bus station
Which you have access to buses to the IOW festival as well
The outdoor pool was excellent, especially as the weather was very hot!
Rooms were a little small but its an old hotel and little they can do about it
Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, our room was very basic but everything was nice and clean.
Breakfast was very nice and served by such lovely ladies.
Enjoyed a swim in the pool.
Some blackout curtains would be nice in the room.

The pool was a standout
Breakfast was cooked to order and very tasty.
Bed was very ,very comfortable.
Swimming pool was a godsend as it was very hot
Would have been nice to have a drink in the bar
So friendly, as a person on her own very welcoming. Any thing I asked about, was helped wright away.
It looked tired, wall paper in room was coming away at the top. But the whole hotel was lovely.
Very friendly staff
Breakfast was good,
Property is old and tired, which is a shame as it as so much potential
Gill, the hotel manager was the first point of contact and instantly made us feel very welcome.
She gave us a map and leaflets about the Isle of Wight and clearly explained the hotel routine which inspired confidence that our four night stay was going to be exceptional.
Susie the breakfast host was equally welcoming and efficient serving delicious food that set us up for the day.
Both Gill and Susie and the whole team were partly responsible for a highly enjoyable holiday.
Lovely situation, staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice to have the pool. Furnishings were a bit dated but it was lovely and would go again and recommend to others.
Quiet comfort in lovely surroundings plus a warm welcome. A friendly hotel with like minded guests.
