Nice location, close to the tube station. Depending on the room it can be noisy.
Pros:

The location is top and especially the possibility to stay in the lounge in 5th floor is very appriciated by me. Coffee/Tee and also Milk and water in the fridge is also nice to have.

Cons:

This time I had a room with the view to the street - it was noisy. However, it was ok for one night. The air condition is too weak, that's why I had to open the window and it was difficult to ignore the noise from the cars.

Excellent séjour à Londres avec un emplacement idéal
Pros:

Très bon séjour dans cet hôtel. L’emplacement était parfait, proche de tout : transports, restaurants, boutiques et lieux à visiter. La chambre était moderne, propre et confortable, avec une très belle vue. Le personnel était accueillant et agréable tout au long du séjour.

Comfortable stay in the heart of the East End action
Pros:

Excellent location, clean, comfortable, quiet, we liked the option of using the breakfast room to have complimentary hot and cold drinks in a comfortable environment

Cons:

Difficult to operate the air conditionning unit, but with the window open it was not a problem when we stayed

Pros:

15. Etage mit tollem Ausblick. Zimmer war geräumig und mit Küchenzeile ausgestattet. Das Zimmer war rollstuhlfahrergerecht ausgestattet - deshalb war das Waschbecken und die Dusche etwas niedriger angebracht. Das war etwas ungewohnt, da ich recht groß bin.

Pros:

The Gate is in a great location for access to local neighborhoods as well as the tube for access to all of London! The staff was truly lovely and helpful with holding bags on travel in and travel out, the 5th floor lounge was a nice added amenity as well!

Cons:

The bed side lamps in my room weren't working properly? Or if they were I could not decipher how to use them

Cons:

Unreliable lifts - breakdown resulted in only one being available and on 9th floor meant long wait to go up or down
TV regularly disconnected, which meant unable to enjoy chance to relax and watch film/programmes. As an elderly solo traveller and wanting TV in backgound for company, found lack of working TV left me feeling quite lonely.
There isn't an accessible, well lit mirror to use for hair/makeup in 1 bed apartment
Limited counter space around small sink meant had to maneuver around coffee machine to create space for kettle to make a cup of tea

Modernes Hotel mit top Lage für Städtereisen
Pros:

Das Hotel punktet mit einer super Lage und idealer Verkehrsanbindung, da Metro und Bus direkt vor der Tür liegen. Das Viertel ist angenehm lebendig. Die Unterkunft selbst ist modern und sehr sauber. Besonders das Frühstück hat uns überzeugt – es war gut und bot viele gesunde Optionen. Auch das Personal war freundlich.

Cons:

Wir hatten extra ein Zimmer in den oberen Etagen gebucht, um den City-View zu geniessen. Leider bekamen wir ein Zimmer im 2. Stock. Als Entschädigung gab es zwar ein Upgrade auf ein grösseres Zimmer, aber der fehlende Ausblick war für uns trotzdem sehr schade.

Überraschend großartiges Hotel, das man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte. Wir kommen wieder!
Pros:

Dieses Hotel im Zentrum Londons ist ein Geheimtipp. Die Zimmerausstattung lässt keine Wünsche übrig, es ist alles blitzsauber und (wie) neu und jeder noch so kleine Wunsch kann erfüllt werden. Ein besonderes Plus ist die Getränke Lounge im 5. Stock, in der man sich tagsüber jederzeit Kaffee, Tee oder frischen Saft/ Wasser holen und in gemütlichen Sesseln genießen kann mit tollem Ausblick. Der absolute Hammer ist das Frühstück. Über frisches Brot, Croissants, Kuchen, Lachs, bestem Käse, Jogurt/ Müsli, frischem Obstsalat, einer kleiner Auswahl warmer Speisen und Eier zum Selbstkochen bleiben keine Wünsche übrig. Das Personal ist sehr nett, hilfsbereit, die Lage unglaublich nah zur Aldgate East Station und fußläufig zu den besten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Außerdem wird kostenlos Yoga angeboten und es gibt eine GYM. Wenn London, dann bitte ins The Gate London City!

Cons:

Auf den Yoga Kurs wäre ich gern hingewiesen worden. Es hängt ein großer Zettel im Eingangsbereich mit allen Erläuterungen, aber ich habe diesen trotzdem erst am Abreisetag registriert. Die Handhabung der Türen zum Treppenhaus könnte man kurz erläutern bei der Anreise, aber das könnte auch an mir gelegen haben, dass ich nicht zurecht kam. ;)

Overall good. Easy access to many restaurants and transportation.
Pros:

Not Included in rate. Went to get complimentary tea but selection was poor and there were only a couple of teabags in room 5 nights.

Cons:

Laundry room was sad. Only 1 washer and dryer. Ended up taking wet clothes back to the room to dry as it was very warm/dry.
