The hotel is positioned ten minutes walk from Piazza Tazzo with stunning views over the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. It’s breathtaking. We went as a family of four. My twin daughters of nearly 22 and myself and my partner. We both had balcony rooms next to each other on the third floor. The road is busy but that’s what you get for this position. Didn’t particularly bother us once I got used to it as my room at home is silent. Make sure you close the shutters. Please don’t expect five star bling. We loved it. Very clean and had what we needed. I loved the large showers. As did the girls. Bed very comfortable!
What makes this hotel are the staff. I have travelled all my life (this was a 60th celebration) and they are the best. Professional yet kind, mindful yet not intrusive. Generous of spirit. I cannot emphasise enough how each and everyone genuinely cares. Truly. No amount of money in any ridiculously expensive hotel will EVER BUY YOU BETTER SERVICE. NEVER! Luca the restaurant manager is one of those special people that will live in your heart and mind long long after you’ve left. He outshines the view. He runs the restaurant with utmost professionalism but finds time to chat and remembers what you like. Nothing is ever too much effort and if something is not to your liking (never for me) talk to him. Shout out to Gianlucca and Carmine too. I forget some other names but these three hold a special place in my heart. All the front desk staff are wonderful and so helpful always. The bar staff mix incredible cocktails and are so very kind. Lovely team. Same on the pool bar and restaurant. One of my twins lost her fish charm she spent a fortune on in Capri.. don’t ask. It’s minuscule at a huge price! Last day somewhere near the pool we thought. She was so grumpy at dinner that night. The front desk asked the bar team to open the pool gate to look but impossible ! The next morning as we left at 6am they appeared with it. They’d found it near the gate. I absolutely know they must have searched for ages. Money cannot buy this caring nature.
If you want a hotel with proper Italian charm and courtesies ten minutes walk from the main square with stunning views then please book it.
I forgot to add. Food delicious. Always so much choice and I always asked Luca what he recommended that day. If you want a giggle ask Gianluca particularly if it’s lamb on the spit .. or pork 😂. Breakfast fabulous and chef cooks omelettes to order.
The last night they sang to me with a lovely cake chef created on the spot as twins forgot to mention my birthday
Grazie Mille to you all. Ciao ❤️
Great location
Food was ok
Just returned from another wonderful holiday at hotel Bristol in sorrento have been returning for many years what a place to stay from the minute you enter you are made to feel so welcome staff are so friendly cannot do enough for you nothing is too much trouble from the front of house team to restaurant staff - bar staff - pool - to -house keepers thank you all so much everyone
The staff work incredibly hard and it shows in the quality of the hotel
We recently stayed at the Hotel Bristol as part of a Top Flight holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially the views of Sorrento and the bay of Naples. The staff were extremely welcoming and very professional. We were looked after extremely well. A special thank you to
Andrea & Alex in the Bar, Chris in the Pool Bar and Luca, Giuessipi,
Antonino and Carmine in the Dining Room. They all worked so hard and really made our holiday.
This hotel is top class. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble and the food is excellent. The views over the bay of Naples are spectacular. Trips from here are great too. Rooms are cleaned and towels changed daily
This hotel is beautiful! We had a room on the top floor with an amazing view of the Sea and Marina Grande. The balcony was the highlight, it was huge and had a hot tub. We loved it! The hotel offered a great breakfast buffet. Overall, the stay was wonderful, very pricey but we were celebrating our anniversay and wanted something special. This certainly fit that bill!
The only thing we would have liked is water in the room everyday. We had 2 bottles when we arrived and never received more. In fact, we were charged for a water bottle at breakfast when we asked for one to go. I just feel water in the room should be an everyday service not just upon arrival. Other than that it was great.
The location of Hotel Bristol is perfect with views over Marina Grande. The service & food is superb the rooms clean. A special mention to Luca & Carmine for such professional & friendly service in the restaurant at breakfast & dinner.
We will be returning very soon.
Recently returned from a 7 night stay. Everything about this hotel was first class. We booked the hotel as relatives stayed here before and recommended it to us. It did not disappoint. Though its about a 10/15 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento its not central, but its well worth it for the stunning views, just be mindful of the busy road you walk up, the pavement can be quite narrow. From balcony views to the service provided, it was first class in every possible way. We went half board, and could change between lunch and dinner. We assumed the food would be normal "hotel food" that you could take or leave, couldnt have been more wrong, the food was outstanding and of true restaurant quality, the menus changed daily also which was good. As our birthdays fell on our holiday, the hotel treated us to a bottle of prosecco each, which was a nice touch. All in all Hotel Bristol was everything we hoped it would be, we would recommend and we would definitely stay there again, probably 10 days next time, you would never get bored of the balcony view.
The overall service was beyond the standard.
I was travelling alone, during my breakfast, one of the service staff( a tall gentle man) made a smile and a big heart for my coffee, he really made my lonely trip something special! Such a warm team!
Good location to old town Sorrento. Room was clean and staff were very helpful and polite.
The hotel was very overpriced. The room was too far away from the main building and a health and safety hazard to get too and the hotel had far too many rules and regulations.
We returned home from the Hotel Bristol last week end, after a 14 night stay, having had an amazing holiday. The hotel views across the Bay of Naples towards Vesuvius, not just from your room, but also the dining room and pool area/roof terrace are breath taking. The gardens are well kept, and a peaceful retreat, complete with lemon grove.
The reception staff were marvellous in helping us with requests, always greeting us with a smile and dealing with everything in a highly efficient manner. This was our second visit and we told them we would return again in 2028, but after arriving home we have now booked to come back next year 2027.
The restaurant is very efficiently run and the staff are so friendly and attentative it was a pleasure to dine there. Luca and his team provided excellent service throughout the holiday. We are already missing the amazing food, Carmine's cappuccino's and Giovanni's fabulous omlettes! There is a great selection of fresh food at both breakfast and evening mealtimes with plenty of options to choose from.
We would like to extend a thankyou to all the staff, who clearly go out of their way to make sure your holiday is as enjoyable as possible and they really did succeed. Room cleaners do a brilliant job and someone is always polishing the mirrors, floors and stairs. This hotel takes great pride in its appearance and the happiness of its guests.
We have found the hotel to be a shining example to others as to how to treat guests and we look forward to seeing you all again next year. Can't wait!

Room was large, comfortable, and clean. The view from the room balcony was fabulous. The staff were the most helpful and friendly that I have ever encountered. Food in the dining room was also very good.
Nothing
We were 2 couples from Manchester staying for 7 nights to celebrate my niece’s 60th birthday. We stayed here for the first time in September 2025. We had such a great time that we thought we would return and do it all again. The hotel has a slightly old world feeling about it but this is what gives it its charm. We had a room on 7th floor with a great view. The room was lovely and clean throughout with a huge bed to spread out in.
The restaurant is wonderful for breakfast and dinner with fabulous views over the bay. Great selection at breakfast and the chef making various egg dishes was brilliant.
Dinner was lovely with a good choice and Luca, Guiseppi, Carmine and the whole team were so friendly and welcoming 👏🏻. The team at the pool bar and also in the evening were very good and a special shout out to Christian and Ameliana and the guy behind the bar making great cocktails ( he is the twin of Man Utd player Fernandes ).
All the F&B staff are so friendly and gracious which makes this hotel so highly rated with 5* reviews.
Many thanks, we hope to return.
Andrew, Hilary, Julie and Colin.

Struttura molto bella e ben tenuta
Terrazze con panorama mozzafiato anche per chi come me conosce bene Sorrento

A fantastic week in the Bristol Hotel. A special thank you to Luca and Guiseppe and the entire floor staff in the restaurants for breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. I am coeliac and had plenty of Gluten Free options. They could change almost anything on the menu to my needs. Our room was on the 9th floor with spectacular views of Mount Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. The hotel has an old italian charm with unique features and nothing was too much for the staff. Our room was very spacious with plenty of storage. Both the room and bathroom were beautifully tiled. Everything in the hotel was both professional and friendly at the same time and spotlessy clean. I cant recommend this hotel enough and we hope to return in the not so distant future.

We have recently returned from a week at Hotel Bristol. What a superb hotel this is.Nice location just 10 minutes walk into the centre of Sorrento.
The hotel was spotless and of a high standard, the staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for you.
I usually prefer to stay B&B as like to go out to different restaurants each night however we were half board and it has totally changed my views. The food was fabulous, usually half a dozen options per course to choose from and Luca and his team made it clear on more than one occasion that if you didn’t fancy anything on the menu, just let them know and they would source alternatives for you.You can’t ask for more than that. The restaurant had lovely views over the sea and resort, I couldn’t fault it.There was also a lovely bar to end the night in after a walk around the resort.
We had a sea view room on the 7th floor which was very spacious.
Overall, a lovely experience that was well worth the money.
