Very comfortable stay — No complaints!
Pros:

This is probably the best Holiday Inn I have ever stayed at. Everything is new and good quality. The hotel seems designed for both leisure and business travellers, based on the mix of people I saw during my stay. There is also a “work area” on the main floor with a couple of desktop machines for accessing the internet, printing, etc. And they have a meeting room with a projection screen that seats 16.

My room was bright and clean, and furnished with a large 56” TV, a bar fridge & microwave, a working desk, and interestingly, a chaise longue with side table. The bathroom had both a standard overhead light and a lighted mirror. Walk-in shower provides shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

The breakfast bar was impressive. The food was surprisingly good, and there was a lot of variety: hot food included both scrambled eggs and cheese or western omelettes, bacon, sausages, and sausage patties, hash browns, pancakes, toast, and oatmeal. They also had cold cereal, fruit, and yogurt. Coffee was hot and strong. The surprise was a separate heating area with warm cinnamon buns — I’ve never seen that at any other hotel.

The hotel also has a nice workout room and swimming pool. I did not use either; I never plan to use such facilities because the pool is usually crowded and the fitness equipment is typically a motley collection of rusty equipment and mismatched hand weights. But both areas looked clean, well equipped, and inviting.

Finally, the hotel itself is well located. It's a 5-minute drive to a couple of grocery stores and several restaurants/fast food places. It's maybe 10 minutes straight north to reach Lakewood Park, on the shore of Lake St. Clair. Beautiful area to check out at any time of day. And it's within 30 minutes of downtown Windsor to the west and Leamington to the southeast.

I don’t have much call to visit the Windsor or Leamington area, but I would definitely look at staying here again if I do.

Beds and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast had tons of variety and started early, which was perfect for our son's baseball team that was there for a tournament and needed to be out the door early.
