Categories

Cleanliness
8.3
Mixed: several reviews praise immaculate rooms and overall hotel cleanliness (e.g., 'Pulizia impeccabile', 'beautiful clean hotel'), but there are notable negatives — missed housekeeping for an entire stay, poorly maintained spa/steam room and broken lockers — which lower the score.
Service
9.6
Very strong: multiple mentions of friendly, professional and accommodating staff (reception, valet, named employees Gino/Anthony/Charlie), excellent last-minute assistance and pet-friendly hospitality. One comment called staff unprofessional, but positives dominate.
Location
9.5
Excellent location: close to many restaurants, near transit (El one block away), directly on the Michigan Mile area and convenient for exploring Chicago; a few noted it is slightly farther from Michigan Ave but still very convenient.
Room Quality
9.7
Outstanding rooms: repeatedly described as spacious, well-appointed, luxurious, high ceilings, excellent AC and 'best bed ever' — consistently high praise for comfort and room amenities.
Amenities
9
Generally very good: highlights include an amazing indoor pool and on-site offerings; however, spa facilities (steam room, lockers) were criticized and rooftop-bar noise is a recurring issue, making this mixed but strong overall.
Value for Money
9.3
High perceived value: guests note premium quality (beds, rooms, location, on-site restaurants) that justifies the cost; one review noted the comparable market value would be much higher elsewhere.
Food and Beverage
9.2
Very positive: on-site Nobu restaurant praised as excellent and convenient, breakfasts are good (with some comments that the breakfast selection is unique and could be simplified).
Overall Experience
9
Strong overall stays: many rave reviews, repeat visits and recommendations; minor drawbacks (housekeeping lapse, spa maintenance, nighttime noise, occasional staff unprofessionalism or missed special requests) slightly reduce a perfect score.

Great hotel to stay in Chicago
Pros:

Excellent hotel in Chicago, near a bunch of restaurants and not too far from some of the more key locations in the city. They have a very nice indoor pool to enjoy as well.

Cons:

My only gripe was the spa facilities, which is mostly just their steam room, was poorly maintained. The door to the steam room was completely open, it was not heated at all and the spa room in general felt a little messy, worn down. Most of the lockers weren't working properly too.

I hope they improve on the house keeping rules - shame such a brand of high expectation couldn’t get the simplest thing
Pros:

Great location

Cons:

We stayed for two nights - the house keeping wasn’t done even once ! Such a shame

Another excellent stay at Nobu.
Pros:

Very good breakfast but it leans toward the unique and needs to be simplified.

Cons:

Noise from rooftop bar often drifts down to rooms on weekends.

Next time we’ll bring earplugs for a more restful night.
Pros:

Location and excellent on site Nobu restaurant.

Cons:

Street noise at night only seemed to subside at 2:00AM. Much to noises for a good nights sleep. Hotel could have provided ear plugs.

Pros:

The property is gorgeous, the rooms spacious and luxurious. The bed was was amazingly comfortable. To stay in a hotel this nice, directly on the Michigan Miles, would have been over $1000 a night. There are also nice restaurants and coffee shops near by. It’s a little far from Michigan Ave, but the El is 1 block away and really easy to,use to get downtown.
