Rundum glücklich
Pros:

Wir bekamen völlig unerwartet ein Upgrade, ein wunderschöner Auftakt, der sofort die Vorfreude auf den Aufenthalt weckte. Die Mitarbeiter waren durchweg motiviert und mit Enthusiasmus bei der Sache, sodass wir uns von der ersten Minute an rundum willkommen fühlten.

Das Zimmer war grosszügig und modern, empfing uns mit einem angenehmen Duft, und das Bett war so weich und gemütlich. Besonders berührt hat uns, dass das Housekeeping sich sogar die Mühe gemacht hatte, eine herzige Figur aus Handtüchern zu formen und sie als liebevollen Willkommensgruss auf unser Bett zu setzen. Die Sauberkeit war schlichtweg aussergewöhnlich.

Auch das Frühstück war top, und Check-in wie Check-out dauerten jeweils nur wenige Minuten, unkompliziert und angenehm. Der Abschied ist uns wirklich nicht leichtgefallen.

Wenn wir nach Edinburgh zurückkehren wird das voco unser Favorit für den nächsten Aufenthalt sein. 🙏🏻

Overall, the hotel was good.
Pros:

There was not much around the hotel, but it was in a good location to walk to several sightseeing destinations.

The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The room was small. It was hard to find places for our luggage. The bathroom was extremely small. No plug for a hairdryer inside the bathroom. The shower is not fully enclosed so water splashes out onto the tile.

Unexpected additional £30 deposit, this should have been refunded on checkout. I have not received this back.
Breakfast was poor, with cheap sausages and very dry bacon, although the fruit and Greek yogurt was nice.

5 star service, location and amenities.
Pros:

Wonderful stay in an exceptional hotel. The staff were all superb and made us so welcome and exceeded all our expectations. It was our anniversary and they all ensured it was the most special occasion. Highly recommended. Will be staying again on my next trip to Edinburgh.

Perfekte Ausgangslage, um die Stadt zu Fuss zu entdecken. Zimmer für 3 Personen (mit Schlafsofa) eher klein, für eine Nacht aber absolut ok. Gute Parkmöglichkeit im nahegelegenen Parkhaus.

Very nice hotel with central location
Pros:

Second time in Edinburgh, second time at Voco.
The location, the ambience and the new dinner’s menu. Very good.

Cons:

There are still few choices for gluten and lactose intolerants at breakfast. A plant based yogurt would be easy to provide.
