Lovely old building but poor dining provision for residents on Sunday evening and room very noisy!

Good location, lovely old building and nice room.

Cons:

Room very noisy, directly above bar so could hear general bar noise until it closed and then could hear any movement in the room above ours (it seemed like they were stamping around from 1am to 1:40am and then again for about half an hour at 4am! Take earplugs (we didn’t have any)!

Poor food options if you are staying on a Sunday evening - the restaurant was not open in the evening, we were told on check-in our only options were to eat at the outside bar which was serving burgers, sandwiches and chips until 7:30pm or to use the Chinese Takeaway opposite! We got food at the outside bar (burger and chips served in a takeaway box), it was raining, we tried to sit in the small undercover area but it was full of people smoking so ended up having to take our food inside, we ate it in the Residents Lounge. Not a great experience when we thought we would be able to eat in the hotel restaurant!

Also just for information for others looking to book - the included breakfast is Continental only. We didn’t have a problem with not having a cooked breakfast, but other residents were not happy about this!

A gem of a hotel to stay at. The staff were awesome.
Pros:

We (three cyclists) have just got back from a brilliant stay at Radnorshire Arms Hotel and honestly can’t fault it. If you love places packed with history, you’ll love this place. It's a gorgeous 16th-century building with old oak panels, wonky beams, and loads of character. It has a great wood-panelled bar area, and the outside garden was a super cool area to relax. The staff here are lovely too; they are incredibly welcoming and genuinely friendly from the second you walk through the door. A special shout-out to Martin the manager, who gave us every assistance as we had to store three bicycles for our overnight stay. The weather was also not good the next day, and he even offered us his services to get our bikes to our next stay. He was also very engaging, polite and exceedingly respectful. In fact he made our stay a pleasure.

Ohhh yes, the carvery we had was top notch.

We will definitely be back!

Waren op doorreis met 3 volwassenen, 1 nacht gebleven.
Prachtig oud pand waar we vriendelijk werden ontvangen, heeft eigen gezellige pub en restaurant.
Mooie kamer en aansluitende badkamer, (ietwat verouderd qua onderhoud maar niets ernstig)
Gezellige Biergarten en zalig gegeten in het eigen restaurant.
Prijs / prestatie was dik in orde.

* Mooie ligging in een levendig, karakteristiek oud plaatsje
* Kleinschalige, gezellige sfeer

Cons:

* Op zondag werd er ’s avonds geen eten in de pub geserveerd
* Buiten in de tuin was er wel een kleine kaart
* Rond 18.00 uur was er al weinig voorraad over
* Daardoor beperkte keuze en uiteindelijk een snelle hap
* Blijkbaar typisch voor deze streek, dus goed om rekening mee te houden

The Wi-Fi in the evening was dreadful, weak and dropping out every minute or so. Oddly, in the morning it was fine.

The staff were extremely rude my flight arrived at night this was discussed with the hotel previously and I was told I had woken the manager when I arrived
