‼️DECEPTIVE, UNFAIR, AND SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES‼️
UPON MY EARLY CHECK-IN (to which I called the hotel directly and received an approval 1.5hr prior to my early arrival), I WAS INFORMED BY THE FRONT DESK AGENT THAT SHE HAD ALREADY CHECKED IN A GUEST WITH MY SAME EXACT NAME AND INFORMATION JUST 30MINS PRIOR TO MY (**APPROVED, EARLY MORNING ARRIVAL) RESERVATION!
THIS CAUSED AN UNNECESSARY WAVE OF UNCERTAINTY, PANIC, AND FEAR SO MUCH THAT AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES, I EXCUSED MYSELF, WALKED BACK TO MY VEHICLE STILL PARKED AT THE ENTRANCE, AND CALLED THE LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT,
ONLY FOR THE FRONT DESK AGENT TO TELL A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT VERSION OF THE STORY, NOW BLAIMIMG HERSELF FOR HAVING ACCIDENTALLY ASSIGNED MY RESERVATION TO ANOTHER GUEST AT CHECK-IN!
THE REPSONDING OFFICER ASKED HER TO PRINT OUT A CANCELATION RECEIPT (DUE TO THEIR ERROR, AND NO FAULT OF MINE). THE AGENT TOLD THE OFFICER SHE COULDN'T PROVIDE ONE BECAUSE THE GUEST WAS STILL PHYSICALLY OCCUPYING THE ROOM
(UNDER *MY NAME!*), AND IT COULD ONLY BE SWITCHED AT CHECK OUT. HOWEVER...
I WAS STILL CHARGED IN FULL FOR HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS THAT I WAS DENIED BY HAMPTON INN AND SUITES MIDTOWN (RALEIGH, NC)!!!
I CALLED AND SPOKE WITH A GENTLEMAN WHO IDENTIFIED HIMESELF AS BEING THE HOTEL MANAGER, NAMED "DIEGO," HOPING FOR A QUICK AND SIMPLE RESOLUTION AND A REFUND. ONLY FOR THE MANAGER TO INFORM ME THAT MY CONFIRMATION NUMBER COULD NOT FOUND IN THEIR SYSTEM, NOR MY NAME, OR RESERVATION IN GENERAL (ALL OF A SUDDEN!) HE SAID HE COULDN'T HELP ME ANY FUTHER AND BEGAN TO SAY HIS GOODBYES BEFORE ENDING OUR CALL.
ULTIMATELY, I MISSED MY ENTIRE EVENT LOCATED IN GARNER, NC AND PAYING FOR FOR "SOMEONE ELSE'S HOTEL STAY!"
WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF 2 SEPERATE HOTEL GUESTS, VISITING THE SAME HOTEL (booked THAT very morning of arrival!), HAVING THE SAME (uncommon) FULL NAME, BOTH HAVING REQUESTING A LATE MORNING EARLY CHECK IN, FOR AN ACCESSIBLE, 2 QUEEN BED HOTEL ROOM??
