Just a good hotel .
No areas to chill in
Well, that's a family hotel. With it's goods and bads.
Gym is great.
For a couple looking for something more secluded and romantic - that's not a good choice.
You don't want to go to these beaches and swimming pools fool of visitors. Probably not intended for couples, really.
Quartos, Gym, Praia
One&Only Portonovi is a beautiful property with spacious, elegant rooms, excellent facilities, a lovely setting and a very good breakfast. There are also some genuinely excellent staff members who went out of their way to help during my stay.
Unfortunately, the overall experience did not match the level I would expect from One&Only or from a hotel at this price point. Service was inconsistent, particularly around the pool and beach, where I often had to actively look for staff to order food or drinks. Communication and ownership were also lacking when problems arose with hotel-arranged services.
The property is huge, with several pools and restaurants, but surprisingly it felt very quiet and lacked atmosphere even in August. Food and drink availability between lunch and dinner was also much more limited than I would expect from a luxury resort.
Overall, the hotel has enormous potential and the physical product is impressive, but the service, attention to detail and atmosphere need to improve significantly to justify the price and the One&Only name.

All food was delicious, including a superb breakfast. Settings around the hotel were beautiful and the beach was lovely. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Though the Tapasaki restaurant itself was great, they played loud music around the pool during the daytime, when it was the only child-free area on the premises you could go to relax.

The beach needs buttons for calling a waiter, sometimes it took a lot of waving for someone to notice us.
The complimentary stretch class was a bit underwhelming and lasted 25 min only.
There was a stained towel in our bathroom upon arrival.
One of the best luxury properties I have ever stayed at. The location is breathtaking, the rooms are beautifully designed, and every detail feels thoughtfully curated. The service was exceptional from check-in to check-out, with staff who genuinely made us feel welcome. The food was outstanding, the spa and wellness facilities were world-class, and the entire resort felt peaceful, exclusive, and impeccably maintained. I only stayed one night but wished I had booked a longer stay.
Honestly, nothing significant. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that one night wasn’t enough to fully experience everything the resort has to offer.
