The staff was terrific. Very friendly and helpful.

The air conditioner works. There was hot water. But I'm struggling to find more positive things to say.

Cons:

The cheapest furniture I've seen in a 5700 mile drive across America. What is it?... particle board with some kind of laminate glued over it and the thinnest foam cushions that didn't even fit the boxes that I've ever seen. I'm not sure even if this was supposed to be a seating area or what. tiny refrigerator with no freezer, no microwave. Very weird smell of cleaning fluid throughout the hotel hallways and the room.

Stayed at Avid in Ft. Lauderdale with a large breakfast area with many options. Anticipated the same since it was another Avid. It was very sparse comparatively. Disappointing.

better than average overnight stay on a road trip.

Small rooms, slippery standing shower, not a good breakfast option.
Cons:

We had requested a king bed because we were traveling with our one-year-old child. I initially tried to book a king room through the app, but it kept giving me an error, so I ended up booking a room with two queen beds instead.

When we arrived, another guest who checked in after us was assigned a king room. However, when I asked about our request, the front desk staff told me that no king rooms were available.

Additionally, the check-in process was unnecessarily slow. The staff member was on the phone throughout almost every step of the check-in process, which resulted in us waiting approximately 15 minutes just to receive our room keys.
