Le radiateur faisait énormément de bruit, on a donc dû l’éteindre mais du coup nous avons eu super froid. Nous l’avons signalé et on nous a dit qu’on viendrait contrôler. Résultat: rien n’a été fait et nous avons eu froid les 3 nuits. Après la première nuit, les lits ont été refaits mais la tasse utilisée pas débarrassée. Après la 2e nuit, les lits n’ont même pas été faits…

Le petit déjeuner compris : petits pains au chocolat du supermarché (ceux dans le petits plastiques …).

La struttura andrebbe svecchiata e rinfrescata un po’: i muri delle camere sono segnati, così come i pavimenti a causa della chiusura delle porte ed anche la moquette sulle scale comuni non sono propriamente pulite.
Inoltre anche la pulizia generale stenta ad essere eccellente: scarico del rubinetto che fa fatica a svuotarsi e quello della doccia pieno di capelli.
Problematica a volte anche la gestione della temperatura della doccia che passa da essere bollente ed ustionante ad essere gelata senza possibilità di scelta.
Ineccepibili invece asciugamenti e lenzuola.
Rivedibile anche il sistema di accesso alla struttura: comoda la presenza di una serratura automatica utilizzabile con un codice che viene fornito, però non è così responsiva e di conseguenza spesso si fa fatica ad accedere al tastierino per inserirlo

When we arrived in the communal areas, the carpet was dirty and the ceiling in the dining room was covered in mould. We were absolutely disgusted by this. We then discovered our room (no 15), where the armchair was covered in stains and the walls were marked with black stains, as well as streaks beneath the window. The window had been blocked with a piece of cardboard, preventing any natural light from entering the room.

The bedding and the bathroom were clean, but there was no shower screen, only a mould-covered shower curtain.

**Very disappointing experience – Last-minute cancellation on the day of arrival**

We had a very disappointing experience with No 6 West Coates in Edinburgh.

We made and paid for our reservation in full on 18 September for our stay from 23 to 25 September. Everything was confirmed by the property. We even contacted them in advance to ask whether we could leave our backpacks before the official check-in time of 3 pm, and they agreed.

On 20 September, the property contacted us to confirm our expected arrival time. We explained that we planned to drop off our bags in the morning and then spend the day exploring Edinburgh, returning only after dinner. On 22 September, we received another message confirming our reservation, the location, the check-in times and the access codes.

We arrived in Edinburgh on the morning of 23 September as planned and went to the property to leave our bags, as previously agreed. Everything seemed fine. However, at 11:32 am, while we were already out exploring the city, we received a message stating that, due to unforeseen circumstances, our room would not be available that day.

This was completely unacceptable, especially given that our reservation had been confirmed several times and paid for in full. We were left to find alternative accommodation at the last minute, which ended up costing us more money. We also had to interrupt our planned activities and return to the property to collect our bags.

As a result, we lost approximately three hours of our day, which we had carefully planned in advance, and missed visits we had intended to make. We were given no assistance or alternative solution by the property.

Although we received a refund, this does not compensate for the inconvenience, the additional cost of finding accommodation at short notice, or the valuable time lost during our trip.

A confirmed and fully paid reservation should provide guests with a reasonable level of reliability.
