Edinburgh City was gorgeous but hope I can forget "hotel".
Pros:

Quiet. Good location.

Cons:

No staff. Checked in myself. Felt insecure as women travelling alone. Very pricey for very basic facilities. Reminded of hostel quality. No secure luggage store. Paid privately for luggage store 2 bus stops away added additional time and cost to trips. Encountered other guests who didn't know about self check in. Assisted others as if I was a staff member. Disliked ground floor room. Felt unsafe. No landline to contact staff and no staff to contact. Hotel prices but less than hostel facilities. Sticky carpet. Stains on headboard. Elderly relative thought I had booked a hostel couldn't believe the price.

Perfectly adequate if only one could get in!
Cons:

Breakfast. Instant coffee in a sachet and kettle and rolls in plastic envelopes is not a 'continental breakfast'.

The entry button is too high for convenience and includes the speaker. The speaker is very indistinct and being high cannot be heard bey one like me who is hard of hearing. The instructions for keypad operation of the entrance door lock is also too high and awkward infuse.

Stort rom, stort bad med badekar. Sittegruppe hvor man kunne sitte komfortabelt og nyte en kopp kaffe.

Cons:

Noen av takflisene, eller tapetet i taket holdt på å læsne så det så litt stusslig ut. Kun søte, forhåndspakkede bakevarer i spiseområdet.

Pros:

The bathroom was clean.

Cons:

Left us outside for 40 minutes in early evening. We were let in remotely as no staff were there. No AC. Too many stairs, no lift. Requested to extend stay, we did not get a response until 2.5 hours for an answer of "No".

Horrendous. Risk to health and no one able to sort.
Pros:

Easy check in

Cons:

Room was dirty, especially around the bath/shower and window.
Had a gas leak, could not contact anyone at the property. Despite the room being unsafe they were still adamant they could honour the booking. 2hrs later had to leave and book another hotel due to inaction.
