Central, lovely ambience and clean
Parking could be a little better but at no fault of the hotel and staff did their best to accommodate
Location is perfection. Surrounded by restaurants and bars, and directly next to the Saturday markets. Only a 5 minute walk away from the wharf and Queen Street, but maintaining that quiet, not crowded feel. Staff were accommodating, kind and always checking in with us as we went through the lobby.
The room itself was gorgeous. Lots of local/Māori infusion, beautiful bathroom with overhead shower and those beds? Gorgeous.
This has to be my best stay in Auckland so far - already mentally prepping for the next!
I have stayed in quite a number of Auckland’s hotels but this one leaves the others for dead. The location along with very friendly attentive staff makes the whole experience comfortable and welcoming. I really am looking forward to a return visit in the very near future
Everything about our Hotel Britomart experience was excellent. Great reception, ideal valet service, sense of something very special. Hope to stay again.
Perfect central location, great for a traveller without a vehicle. The room was dark, quiet and comfortable to sleep in, which is the most important thing.
There was nothing to improve on. Everything was great as is.
Location, very clean rooms staff very friendly & helpful
Coffee machine wasn’t that great to use
Loved our 2 night stay here, beautiful hotel, great location, excellent service and will definitely stay here again.
Lovely modern hotel, great location

Superb location, very well appointed, great attentive staff, lovely view.

Britomart is a seriously good hotel and our overwhelming thought was that the next time we come to Auckland, we would expect to pay a lot more for a room there, it was that high quality an experience. In bigger cities, you would anticipate a premium to stay at a venue like this. so my wisest advice is to book it whilst it's reasonably priced!
Others have mentioned the location and being wedged in between the Viaduct and Queen Street is a massive plus. The check in was very smooth and culminated in our being escorted to our room and having various features explained in a clear fashion. It is obvious that considerable thought went into room design, starting with the provision of little nooks on both sides of the bed, with power slots and overhead lighting. The shower was fantastic, a great stream of hot water from either an overhead shower or more conventional pole set up, along with good quality shampoos, shower gels etc.
The hotel offers a pretty cool gym and has a quite old school style "Library" wine/cocktail bar which would be a superb place to have a drink or two. There are three restaurants at the bottom of the hotel and we tried out Ghost Street, which was seriously good. In addition, we went to White & Wongs (last night as it happens!) which we knew favourably from Queenstown and also ate at The Brit, which whilst more casual, was pretty good and well priced.
I could tell you the things we didn't do, but we did discover The Daily Bread, which is a two minute walk from the hotel. It's a really cool space and does a variety of breakfast/lunch type things. We can vouch for the service, which was impressive, given the number of patrons it attracts and thought the sour dough toast was excellent. We enjoyed the coffee as well as the provision of sparkling and still water on tap and I can also report that the chorizo sausage roll was yummy!
Most tour guides might neglect to mention visiting Ponsonby, we walked there from the hotel (be warned there are steep hills involved) found an impressive high street, with lots to offer and worth a visit. We caught the bus back and like most of our NZ bus experiences, found it quite straightforward and easy.
We do hope to get to Auckland again, but having said that, it was fifteen years since we had last been there, but if we do get our act together faster, the Britomart will be the obvious choice.
Our stay at The Hotel Britomart was outstanding. All of the staff were exceptional and a special call out to Ciaran Molloy for all the help he provided to make our stay and visit to Auckland and Waiheke Island an awesome experience! Thank you!
Great location close to the ferries and excellent restaurant choices. The room was spacious, luxurious and the comfiest bed. Staff were lovely and the eco friendly vibe was a great addition
Room service order was below expectations
Highly recommend - beautiful place with amazing customer service. Rooms and views were stunning. Such a funky clean and awesome vibe. Food was great and staff super helpful and went above and beyond
