I liked that there were plenty of gluten free options as I’m Coeliac.
I would have liked to have been told that the Warders cottages were across the road before booking.
Nice room and great staff. The tea, coffee and water on tap were nice touches.
I guess when you book in the heart of Freo you expect some noise but with the courthouse right off the room you couldn’t exactly relax in the room as was the plan as it was like staying beside a nightclub day and night which I hadn’t expected. I assume the rooms inside the building wouldn’t be subject to the noise from the beer garden DJ all weekend.
Finally a hotel with secure WiFi!!
Such a beautiful setting. I love the history and the way it’s been preserved so lovingly. Even the lovely sash windows!!

The breakfast was adequate. The fruit was very nice. Perhaps some cheese and hams would have been nice, since it was a continental breakfast. The pastries were very nice and a good choice of breads.
The check in - I checked in on line and was advised I just needed to go to reception and collect the keys. However, they then needed to see my drivers licence. They had the number, but needed to see the licence. I didn't have it with me, as I wasn't driving. I had to go back to the vehicle and get my husband to bring his in. Just a small annoyance.

Spa service - booked couples package to find there was only one therapist available, which meant we would have to go one after the other or have a compromised treatment. We had the latter, and while it was nice, wasn’t what we had booked for. It would have been good to have been notified in advance so we could decide if we wanted to proceed with the booking.
My husband is 6’4” tall and the bed was bookended by a wall panel with the TV on it, which made it hard for him to stretch out
Fantastic location right in the centre of the CBD, walking distance to all attractions. Top quality dining in the hotel and associated venues. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Location is perfect. Short walk to everything Freo! Couldn’t be better. Stayed in Garde Rooms with immaculate bathroom facilities. Large, clean and well appointed.
Bedroom simple and basic.
Just the little things like having sparkling water on tap available, staff were wonderful

Great location and interesting accommodation in the Warder’s Cottages. The new part of the hotel is very smart nad hte breakfasts are great.
