Pros:

My experience with Magnolia Resort was extremely disappointing and, honestly, I did not expect this level of lack of responsibility from a 4-star hotel.

We had booked 5 nights, but we only ended up staying for one night. At around 12:30 AM last night,we noticed a fire on the mountain opposite the hotel. We immediately spoke to the hotel staff, and they told us not to worry, saying that this was something “normal” in the area and that everything was under control.

We went back to sleep, but about an hour later I woke up again and saw that the situation had become significantly worse and the fire was getting closer and closer. Shortly afterwards, we received an emergency alert from 112 saying that everyone in that village needed to evacuate.

Since I had my own private car, I asked the hotel staff what I should do, and I was simply told to follow the instructions from the emergency alert. I was forced to leave during the night and drive for about an hour away from the area. I spent the entire night in my car, without receiving any information from the hotel about whether we could return the next day, whether it was safe, or what was happening with our reservation.

The next morning, I decided not to return because I no longer felt safe. I cancelled my ferry plans and left the island. I completely understand that wildfires and emergency situations can happen, and I am not blaming the hotel for the fire itself. However, from a 4-star hotel, I expected much better communication, responsibility, and care for their guests during such a serious situation.

When I called the hotel and explained everything, I asked at least for a refund for the 3 nights I did not stay. They refused, saying that everything was fine the next day. The problem is that nobody from the hotel contacted me to inform me that the situation had improved or that it was safe to return.

Colazione poco varia. Poche scelte dolci. Tovaglioli contati di numero. Assenza di pane fresco. Frutta fresca quasi inesistente. Solo cocomero e melone in quantità irrisorie.

Good value for money
Pros:

The bed was comfortable, and the room overall looked nice and was comfortable. However, the hotel is quite far from the island’s most beautiful attractions, so having a car is essential.

Cons:

The breakfast selection was rather limited. It would be nice to have some fresh vegetables available, at least tomatoes, cucumbers, or olives, especially since this is their local produce.

Die Besitzer waren nicht zugänglich.Das Putzpersonal ist sehr freundlich.
Cons:

Frühstück war auf Englische Gäste ausgerichtet.Keine frischen Früchte,Brot und wenn man zwei Wochen geht ist es immer das gleiche.Griechenland hat viel mehr zu bieten.
