The Hilton Rome Monti is in a brilliant location for visiting Rome. Rooms are compact in size which is pretty standard for Rome but they are spotless and modern. We found this hotel to be amazing value compared to other hotels nearby and it would definitely be our first choice if we return to Rome. The only thing that let it down was the breakfast, it was very disappointing for choice compared to other Hiltons.
Завтрак отличный! Постельное белье качественное, подушки удобные. Расположение отличное: рядом с вокзалом и Колизеем.
Шум в номере от проезжающих машин.
Great location and hotel. The lobby is very nice with a boho style feel and several different seating levels. Room was spacious and shower was great. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Breakfast was the only downside. Service was poor…we had to go up to the host stand to place an order as no waitstaff came by the table on either of the two mornings we were there. We saw them busily working to replenish the buffet line and clear tables, but never approached our table to ask if we needed anything. This happened both days.
The gentleman at the door was not engaging or friendly. On two occasions, I smiled at him and nodded, and he didn’t even acknowledge me. Certainly not what you want from someone standing at the entrance door of your hotel.
On our final morning, I ordered an omelette with ham, cheese and tomatoes. When it arrived on my first hit I discovered it had mushrooms in it. I have a mushroom allergy (which I informed the hostess on our first day). She was the one who took the order, and thinking I may have mistakenly indicated mushrooms I asked if she still had the order slip where she wrote my order down. She went back to the kitchen and brought it out, and it did not have mushrooms written on it. It was written exactly as I had ordered. So it was a kitchen error, which can happen but certainly when a food allergy is concerned, it is serious.
Overall, we enjoyed the hotel. The breakfast experience was just a bit disappointing from a service standpoint
I totally recommend booking your stay here. The staff were super friendly and professional when we checked in and remained that way during our stay. Helpful whenever we needed recommendations for dining or simple tasks like an extra towel. The hotel is located in a great location to many of the top sites and is very quaint and quiet in the evenings. Our room was very clean and well maintained. This was our second trip to Rome. We hope to make it back their again and if we do, we will most certainly book this hotel.
Central location, good food, friendly staff and clean rooms.
Great hotel, staff and the restaurant was one of our best meals in Rome. Great experience all around. All of the staff were great and made us feel at home. Would highly recommend it as it is a great hotel and location.
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. We booked it because they offer guaranteed connecting rooms and the reviews were good. It surpassed our expectations. Daria was very friendly and helpful when checking us in. The lobby is so relaxing and smells amazing. The rooms were spacious and clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet had many different options. We loved the coffee machine! The staff at the breakfast were great. The hotel is not so large that that we ever had to wait for an elevator. There is a cute coffee shop connected to the lobby with food options. Aleksandra served us there and she was so nice! We went up to the rooftop bar one night and relaxed with some drinks. The location is very good. It is close to Termini and walkable to many streets that have good restaurants and unique shops.
We had a difficult time getting to the airport after check out. The driver we had arranged was going to be very late through no fault of his own. We were getting very worried about our flight. One of the male staff members - I forget his name - had a driver for us in 2 minutes! We are so grateful! You saved the day! Rome was very hot and very busy and this hotel was an oasis.
Location is amazing, lots of restaurant options & walking distance to different main tourist attractions.
The front desk staff went above and beyond to help us with information and reservations multiple times. I would highly recommend this location to anyone visiting Rome.
Nothing
Delicious breakfast buffet and great location plus good employees.
What a wonderful experience with this hotel. The customer service was exceptional. Adriana at the front desk is fantastic.
The hotel was fine for most part but the air conditioning in our room kept quitting. First 2 nights it worked fine. But 3 fixes that didn’t keep it running and last 2 nights of minimal sleep. Hotel lack of concern was frustrating.
I had a great stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Rome Monti. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Rome.
Rome wasn’t built in a day, but this hotel stay was pretty well put together.
Nestled on a quiet corner in a cozy cul-de-sac, the DoubleTree by Hilton Rome Monti feels like the hotel equivalent of finding an empty gelato shop in July—peaceful, unexpected, and very appreciated.
Check-in began with warm smiles and the legendary DoubleTree chocolate chip cookies. I’m convinced those cookies have solved more travel-related stress than most vacation planners.
Lucrezia at the front desk deserves a special mention. Need restaurant recommendations? Hidden gems? Local tips? She seemed to have Rome’s entire unofficial guidebook stored in her head.
Alexander handled our luggage upon arrival, saving us from dragging suitcases across ancient Roman terrain that was definitely not designed with rolling luggage in mind.
Clark quickly came to the rescue when we needed extra towels and washcloths. Fast response times are an underrated vacation luxury.
At checkout, Hannah took great care of us and graciously awarded 10,000 Hilton Honors points after a minor housekeeping mishap. A broom had been accidentally left in our room. Honestly, after walking miles through Rome every day, I briefly considered putting it to work myself.
Little mistakes happen. What matters is how they’re handled, and the staff did so with professionalism, generosity, and genuine hospitality.
Now for location and breakfast—two things that can make or break a stay.
The hotel is within easy walking distance of Roma Termini railway station as well as the local Rome Metro, making it incredibly convenient for getting around the city or heading out on day trips.
Breakfast had plenty of delicious options. I was pleasantly surprised to find Lavazza coffee—something I had been spoiled with on a Princess cruise. Thankfully, the hotel serves it here as well, and in a fancy self-serve dispenser, no less. It paired perfectly with the classic Hilton chocolate chip cookies, continuing what I can only describe as a very committed dessert-coffee relationship courtesy of Hilton hospitality.
For breakfast itself, I went with scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, orange juice, a chocolate croissant, and a bombette. There was also a solid spread of breads, cereals, waffles, and fresh fruit for anyone looking to mix it up or behave more responsibly than I did.
Coffee in hand, pastry secured, and jet lag slowly fading—this was a strong start to the day in Rome.
Final thought:
A quiet base, a well-fed morning, and a city waiting just outside your door. Not a bad way to start the day. Between the helpful team, comfortable accommodations, and quiet location, this hotel provided a relaxing Roman retreat away from the crowds—close enough to enjoy the Eternal City, yet far enough away to hear yourself think. An Epic Roman Thumbs Up!
Stayed for 3 nights and can’t fault it. Staff were amazing and really helpful with recommendations for places to eat and watch the football.
They couldn’t have been more helpful and were genuinely happy to help which I don’t often see so it made our trip much better.
Thanks to everyone at the hotel.
