Visit and stay at The Watling In
Pros:

When I first saw it my heart sank. However on registration I realised it wasn't as bad as first impression ie car park. However it was explained to us that its under redevelopment so that explains a lot. Other thing was that a lot of what was advertised on the menu was unable. However coffee I have to say is excellent and the staff are very nice. It's pretty clean too and good value for money.

Cons:

Just the fact its still under construction and looks half finished

Cons:

Needed updating, no bar not serving alcohol drinks, website gave wrong information about facilities for evening meals, it said also about room service up until 11pm which I asked about and they told me the time was 8.00 pm they stopped serving food. Bathroom was smelling of damp. No tea and coffee in the room, and fan was broken ☹️ shower hanging off the wall. Breakfast was rubbish. Overall very disappointed.

Good room at a fair price, but not rushing to return
Pros:

The room was clean and comfortable. Had a good night's sleep. It was equipped with a fan, which was appreciated during the hot weather when I stayed.

Cons:

There was a breakfast menu in my room, which looked inviting, but it turned out the vast majority of items (both for breakfast and dinner) were not available. Please update this or inform visitors at check-in. Dinner, although a decent value pizza, took a long time to arrive despite me being the only person in the dining area. I didn't find the atmosphere very welcoming, but it's the only place nearby to eat without using a car. Low water pressure in the shower. It took several days, and multiple requests, to receive an invoice for my stay.

Lovely room, lovely breakfast well worth the money
Pros:

Easy to check in, the guy at the check in desk was more than accommodating with our child and offered us either up or down stairs for access. We stayed in room 18, it was lovely and clean bathroom was spotless, nice double bed with a desk wardrobe and tv and also enough space for a travel cot. We were facing the road which is busy but once window is closed you can’t really hear the road. We also took our own fan in as the one in the room wasn’t quite powerful enough for us. Tea and coffee provided.

Breakfast the next morning was lovely and checkout process also easy.

Cons:

There was a card in the room that told you what was on offer for breakfast, it said unlimited continental including pastries & fruit but when sitting down at breakfast we were asked to choose from the main menu which was slightly different then the one in the room and only cereal out of the continental items were available, which is fine as we only wanted a banana for our son but could be confusing to others!

Cons:

Some things still need a little TLC and there was no food available for the evening, even though I had phoned earlier in the day to confirm that we could eat there
