Spacious room nice and clean. Food was good. Wine disappointing.
The wine selection in bar was disappointing. The wines we tried were of poor quality (cheap wines )which are overly priced. No quality wines available.
First time staying here. It was a nice room but had some problems with key card. Took a while to get it sorted but the chap that dealt with it was great.
Nice to have a room where you can open the windows.
On our way in, a man in a van pulled up across my car. He shouted that he wanted to buy my car and was really insistent and insulting. I told him no but at first he just sat there and it was really unsettling. I told him that the car was never going to be for sale and he gave me a look and left. This ruined our stay. I had pre checked with reception that my car would be safe before booking. Having a creepy guy come up to us put me on edge for the whole stay. I didn't sleep at all and kept thinking that my car would be gone in the morning.
If I had booked for another night, I don't know if I would have been happy about leaving my car in the car park.
Also, breakfast was an awkward affair. Food was nice though.
Location
Dated, couldn’t get to the restaurant or bar from the Chapel - we had to walk all the way round and it was raining.
The room was clean and most staff was really helpful
The price was extremely high for what you actually get and doesn't even include any breakfast. The staff on the check in wasn't very friendly, just the overall value for money isn't there at all.
It's a standard hotel and all was pretty much OK
The meal I had in the restaurant was OK, I was hoping for something better.
Was put in the annexe which would have been nice if the room (15) didn't smell damp and fusty
Ample parking.
The fundamental amenities appeared inadequate and did not align with the room price. The curtains provided minimal light blockage. The blanket felt small and offered insufficient warmth during the night. The provided condiments were only enough for a single hot beverage.
Food was good in restaurant
Rooms were very dated.
Carpet very stained.
Shower was not a power shower as in description. Rooms were incredibly noisy and housekeeping very keen to get in at 9am on Sunday when checkout was 11
breakfast was good, the sausages are from local butcher, I like it when local businesses support local businesses
Bigger tv in the room
Staff
Bathroom needed upgrade
Location was good. The food was good
Cleaning staff not checking the room was habitable before letting it out for use
