Hornbækhus - a recommendable stay
Pros:

Nice atmosphere, old building and lots of Wood
Concept is mix of hotel, bed and breakfast, hostel and Inn
Big rooms - 2 rooms + bathroom
Surroundings outside is green and it is quiet
Breakfast is very good and the staff was quite attentive

Cons:

A bit expensive and overpriced in weekends.
Why does the bar/sitting area/lounge close at 10 pm on Friday and saturday?

Dejligt sted med skøn beliggenhed og en helt særlig stemning.

Cons:

Vi oplevede desværre, at personalet ikke var særligt imødekommende ved check-in og check-ud. De virkede mest af alt overraskede over, at vi var der. Personalet i restauranten var dog rigtig søde.

Pros:

Frukosten och hotellets personliga och charmiga inredning. Vi bor i Stockholm, har tidigare haft hus i Hornbaek, älskar miljön och JosefFranks mönster.

Hotel Hirnbaekus as a base for a few days exploring North Zeeland, is a delight in every way.
Pros:

We loved the hotel: the neighborhood; the rambly layout; the decor; the room with separate sitting area; the gardens. Perfect location for multiple castle visits, the Louisiana Gallery, and Karin Blixen House. But most of all, we loved how convivial it is. Our first night a small group of guests invited us to join a sing-song they were about to start and to make requests (all of which were welcomed). Other guests joined in. We ‘ate-in’ our remaining two nights and much enjoyed the long-table, family-style format. Most of the guests we met were dedicated regulars from Copenhagen, and we can’t imagine a future Scandinavian trip without a Hotel Hornbaekus stay.

Cons:

Would have loved a room with a tub.

Så där OK.
Pros:

Vi hade rum nr 11. Själva rummet vart bra.
Men vi hade en byggställning inpå och framför fönstret i 2 dagar- fönstren gick att öppna ca 10- 15 cm på grund av ställningen.
Detta accepterar vi inte till detta pris.

Pros:

Morgenmaden var helt perfekt. Dejligt med hjemmelavet marmelade. Beliggenhed perfekt.

Cons:

Værelset en anelse til den lille side. Vinduet i badeværelset kunne ikke åbnes. Rengøringen kom - sent eftermiddag- ikke en men to gange - hvor vi sov lidt til middag. Meget sent for rengøring - så den del kan vi ikke evaluere.

Beliggenheden. Hyggelige værelser. Fællesspisningen med god mad.

Cons:

. Boede i hovedhuset på første sal. Der var lidt larm ved 6.30 tiden om morgenen. Hvor der blev flyttet rundt på ting. Syntes det måske er lige tidligt.
