I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The location is absolutely perfect—right on the water and in the heart of everything. Whether you head left or right, you’re just steps away from incredible restaurants, shops, and attractions.

What truly made our stay special, though, was the outstanding staff. Dawn greeted us with such genuine warmth and kindness from the moment we arrived. She took the time to tell us all about the area, shared fantastic recommendations, and you could immediately tell how much she loves both the hotel and the city. We followed several of her suggestions, and they ended up being some of the highlights of our trip.

Ms. Jam was equally welcoming and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and always greeted us with a smile, making us feel like valued guests rather than just another reservation.

Between the amazing waterfront location and employees like Dawn and Ms. Jam who genuinely care about their guests, this hotel exceeded every expectation. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in Baltimore and would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

Let me start by saying, the staff is absolutely incredible! My room had a minor leak under the bathroom sink. I let Shatia at the front desk know and she went above and beyond to fix the issue. She was so kind and professional; as is all of the staff I had the pleasure to interact with. Robert at the front desk also assisted me with a late check out and was so helpful during my stay. In addition to the great front desk and valet staff, the location and views from the Canopy are wonderful! I loved looking out at the inner harbor from my room and walking along the harbor each morning. Such a wonderful experience overall! Without hesitation, if I find my travels taking me to Baltimore, I will be staying at the Canopy.

Just home from a two night stay that was underwhelming. The waterfront location is lovely and the proximity to Fells point is great. However, our experience left a lot to be desired.

My mother arrived first. She described her check-in process as friendly and extremely helpful. She was given a lovely room with a water view. She explained to the front desk at that time that she was going to be joining us. The person who checked her in, promised her that my husband and I would be located on the same floor as her with a water view.

We arrived 45 minutes later. While friendly, the person checking us in told us they didn’t have a room ready for us at that time despite the fact that it was after 3 PM due to the three wedding parties staying in the hotel that weekend. Once we were finally given a room, it was not on the same floor as my mother, and it did not have a water view. Both of these things are fine, just unusual in light of the previous conversation.

I do not believe that our diamond status was recognized by the front desk. We were certainly not offered an upgrade, but it is more than possible that none were available in light of the multiple wedding parties in attendance.

It should be noted that this is one of those rooms with not one but two separate barn door style doors separating the bathroom from the bedroom. In our room, the building had shifted a little bit over time and so it was very difficult to keep the barn doors closed because gravity was encouraging them to slide open all the time.

Lastly, I got a cup of coffee from the barista in the restaurant one morning. This hotel does not stock any artificial sweeteners anywhere on site. While I appreciate their commitment to all things, healthy, and natural, there is a large segment of the population in this country that for one health reason or another cannot consume sugar, but occasionally enjoys things that taste sweet. I am a person who likes artificial sweetener in my coffee because it is not possible for me to eat sugar.

Modern and clean

Great location, great restaurant, friendly staff. Room 943 had a corner window view of neighborhood and harbor. Minor issue of WiFi going out which was not hotels fault was handled well.

The staff was amazing very helpful and friendly. The set up for getting breakfast was difficult so we went out for breakfast.
The bar closes at 9:30 so no after dinner drinks. This was a little disappointing since I was celebrating my birthday. Other than that my stay was good.

Loved the hotel. Friendly and well organized staff. Great area for walking around. Modern and clean design with great views of the water. Quiet location with walking to area shops and coffee shops. Avoid the restaurant.

Breakfast in the hotel was fantastic. We had a great meal and very good service.

We booked two view rooms but only one had a great view. We accepted that so we could check in a couple of hours earlier. When they found the second room, the view was fantastic.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
