This property was literally steps away from the busy Esplanade. Every night somebody sang or played music… That was a little annoying as I go to bed early…

Waste of money - rude backpacker staff.
Cons:

I booked a room for two nights to celebrate my 5oth birthday, a big event.
The room was great, but it was underneath the restaurant so all you could hear was the sound of chairs being dragged across the floor. it was horrible. When i went for breakfast on the first morning the girl was incredibly rude - however nice to the goodlooking young fellow after me..... I had pre-paid for breakfast, which was a separate menu from paying guests, where the eggs were served on potatoes not bread, I'm assuming this is so they can use up unsold dinner items.
You had to pay extra for a car park which is in a separate building, I slept in so was in a rush to check out by ten, was told to move my car then return fob for gate, it took me 20 mins to find a park to then walk back to hotel to return fob. I then asked if I needed a fob to get back up to restaurant for breakfast, he said I can't have breakfast because I have checked out so I would need to pay for it, then he said anyway they close in 5 minutes so you can't.
If you want to get treated like crap by backpackers, then this is the hotel for you. $707 for two nights. Not worth it.

Good room equal to the Shangri La Resort and $200 cheaper, one doesn’t need all the frills for an overnight stay.
Pros:

Central location to restaurants, the esplanades to walk and a Tim Tam when checking out.
