The best location in Cairns
Pros:

The staff was super friendly. The position was the best in Cairns because you can walk to all the restaurants or the bars or the reef trip departure points.

Ironman weekend
Pros:

The reception staff were friendly and very accommodating of my requests, including storing my bike and luggage for a few hours.

Cons:

The location is great, and the rooftop bar and restaurant were fantastic. Rooms are a good size too.

Pros:

Location was perfect and room was clean and comfortable

Cons:

Being on level 4, we did hear a lot of chair and table dragging noise from the rooftop bar between 0630am and 9pm. Would pick to stay on lower level next time to avoid this. Checking out was very quick too

Pros:

The room was very clean and modern. We really enjoyed the rooftop bar and proximity to restaurants.

Cons:

Room was definitely on the cozier side and wouldn't have been great for an extended stay. For two people for one night, not having a window wasn't an issue.

+ als Aufmerksamkeit für unsere Hochzeitsreise wurde uns eine Flasche Wein spendiert
+ Rooftopbar mit super Aussicht

Cons:

- nach dem Duschen stand das halbe Bad unter Wasser, weil das Wasser nicht richtig abgelaufen ist
- das Zimmer roch muffig, aber man konnte die Fenster nicht Öffnen zum Lüften
- unser Zimmer lag im 4. Stock und somit direkt unter der Rooftopterasse. Wir haben jeden Tisch/Stuhl, der bewegt wurde, im Zimmer gehört
- Frühstück beginnt um 6:30 Uhr und wir waren um diese Zeit vor Ort, weil die Tagesausflüge meist ab 7 Uhr starten. Das Frühstück ist a la carte (!!!) und somit sollte man genug Zeit einplanen, denn der Service beim Frühstück war morgens nicht schnell und wir mussten ca. 20 Minuten auf Café + Essen warten. Daher haben wir es ab dem 2. Tag zum Mitnehmen bestellt
- Bettdecke war aus Plastik und somit nicht angenehm
- am ersten Nachmittag nach Ankunft haben wir uns in der Rooftopterasse in eine Ecke gesetzt und die Reste der Snacks der Reise gegessen. Eine Mitarbeiterin kam zu uns und bat uns die Snacks nicht dort zu essen und hat uns auf die Terasse im 1. Stock verwiesen. Es waren 4 von 20 Tischen belegt und wir haben uns absichtlich weit weg von den anderen Gästen gesetzt. Hier hätten wir für Hotelgäste mehr Fingerspitzengefühl erwartet
- meine Frau wurde von Bettwanzen in diesem Hotel gebissen 2 Nächte hintereinander. Bei der Reklamation waren die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und haben sich vielmals entschuldigt und haben uns das Geld für die ausstehenden Nächte direkt zurücküberwiesen, weil wir vorher ausgecheckt haben. Glücklicherweise haben wir aufgrund der Off Season direkt ein neues Hotel gefunden in der Nähe. Ohne die Bettwanzen hätten wir eine Bewertung 5/10 für das Hotel gegeben.

Short stay in Cairns.
Pros:

I was very happy with my short stay at the Oaks Hotel. I dined at the Oak and Vine restaurant. The view was spectacular.
