We had a great time overall in the hotel but I want to highlight Santiago in the bar who was always friendly and very attentive with outstanding service.

Wonderful Ecuador Stay!
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Santiago was out server in the bar and he was excellent. The service he provided was outstanding! Hopefully we return to Ecuador. We enjoyed our time here.

Should be zero stars. Avoid if at all possible. Unfortunately for us it wasn’t possible because we were assigned by American Airlines when they delayed our flights. Poor service, poor communication with the airline. Slow shuttle. Terrible hot and cold shower. Hard beds. Vouchers for food that they took from me at the front desk of the hotel and said we couldn’t use at the airport for food (after the airline said we could use them at the airport). The vouchers are then essentially made worthless though they are supposed to be used for up to a certain amount, they limited options severely and made room service unavailable. The food was gross and the options are terrible even when they all are available.

Terrifiic place to stay while in transit
Pros:

The breakfast was outstanding -- far better than what we expected for an airport hotel
We loved being greeted personally rght at the arrivals area to get the shuttle

Great location, helpful staff, superb breakfast.
Pros:

The location was close to the airport, so perfect for us since we stayed one night, then left for the Galapagos. They kept our luggage while we were gone (we had 8 dental bags for a dental mission we were doing after the Galapagos). Breakfast was superb!
