Perfect vacation
Pros:

We had a lovely stay at Macalister Terraces Hotel, the staff were super friendly (particularly Sai who gave us amazing recommendations)! The room itself was clean and spacious, would definitely return in the future!

Modern refuge in the heart of the Old Town
Pros:

Strategically located, well maintained / recently renovated. Very nicely designed. Full of nice artworks (which are on sale).

Cons:

Very little downside: second floor and common area poorly cooled down.

Very nice boutique hotel!
Pros:

The staff at the hotel are really friendly and welcoming. They gave us tea upon arrival and a map of the key attractions in Georgetown. The bedroom was not huge but the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was good. Free water bottles were provided every day and there are also water dispensers in the hotel. There is good air conditioning in the room. The hotel is very pretty and decorated nicely. Everything is very modern.

The hotel is walking distance from a lot of cafés and restaurants. There are so many nice cafés in Penang and a really good hair salon right opposite the hotel that takes walk-in appointments. I had a wash, cut and blow dry for £12 and the wash included a head massage.

A great place to stay in George Town
Pros:

We loved staying here. A very clean, well designed, comfortable hotel with very warm welcoming staff, it was like coming home at the end of the day, they really wanted us to have a lovely time. Close to street markets and an excellent restaurant opposite. Easy to get grab from here for Penang Hill, Chew Jetty and Airport.

Pros:

Die Lage war wirklich top und man war sehr nah an allen touristischen Hot-Spots. Zudem war das Personal besonders freundlich und man hat sich sehr willkommen gefühlt.

Cons:

In den Zimmern war es teilweise nachts etwas laut durch den Verkehr und Regen. Die Isolierung war demnach nicht super, insbesondere für geräuschempfindliche Menschen.
