Reborn in 2021, the 2-Michelin-Key Grand Hotel Victoria Concept & Spa is a premier lakefront retreat featuring 81 luxury rooms and suites, along with an expansive 1,200 m² spa facility.

Our stay here was truly exceptional. From the moment we pulled up, the valet team welcomed us warmly, what a privilege not to have to worry about parking in Menaggio on a busy summer day! At check-in, we were graciously offered a choice of prosecco, wine, or water. The reception team was extremely warm, hospitable, and knowledgeable; after a smooth check-in, they gave us a detailed tour of the property, including the beautiful pool area. Upon learning we were celebrating our anniversary, they surprised us with a lovely cake in our room, where a bottle of prosecco and fresh fruit were already waiting for us.

We thoroughly enjoyed the magnificent spa: complete with a hydromassage pool, saunas, and hot/cold foot reflexology area. One of us booked a massage, and the feedback was superb.

Dining at the lakefront restaurant was equally romantic, with exquisite presentation and fantastic flavors.

As guests who prefer a firm mattress, we found the bed to be absolute perfection, guaranteeing a deep, high-quality sleep.

The thoughtful touch on our departure day truly set them apart: after checking out to explore Varenna, we returned at 4:00 PM and were immediately greeted with ice-cold mineral water, an absolute life-saver in the summer heat! The team even placed two fresh canned waters in our car for the drive home.

Overall, the service is impeccable, warm, and defined by an extraordinary attention to detail. Grand Hotel Victoria richly deserves every bit of its two Michelin Keys.

This was our first time visiting Lake Como, and we initially chose the Grand Hotel Victoria because we were there for a friend’s wedding and the wedding party was staying at the hotel. We also wanted somewhere special to celebrate our anniversary, and the hotel ended up exceeding our expectations in every way.

The property itself is beautiful and perfectly captures the traditional elegance and charm you hope for from a Lake Como hotel, while incorporating a modern renovation that makes the entire experience incredibly comfortable and luxurious. It manages to feel both classic and contemporary without losing the character of the property.

The staff were exceptional from start to finish—warm, friendly, incredibly helpful, and responsive. No matter what we needed, someone was always there to help, and the level of service really made the stay feel special.

The food and drinks were also fantastic, with a special shoutout to Lago Restaurant, which was quite possibly our best meal in Italy. Everything about the experience was outstanding.

The location is another huge advantage. Having easy access to the town of Menaggio, while also being so close to the ferries that take you to other parts of Lake Como, made exploring the area convenient. We loved being able to enjoy the hotel and town while still having the flexibility to explore the lake.

But the biggest highlight of the hotel has to be the spa and pool area. It is, by far and away, the most impressive hotel spa facility we have ever experienced in all of our travels. We absolutely loved spending time there, and using the spa and pool became the best part of our days. It is truly something special and a major reason we would come back.

A huge thank you to the entire Grand Hotel Victoria team for making our first trip to Lake Como—and our anniversary—so memorable. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lake Como. We can’t wait to come back!

Excellent experience, great hotel and the customer service was impeccable. My husband and I visited for a long weekend from the UK and it was absolutely lovely. Beautiful old villa hotel, with a new extension on the rear which didn't detract at all. Menaggio is busy in August and this hotel is a quiet oasis away from it all.
We had a great supper in the Lago restaurant, overlooking the lake, very romantic. The chief concierge lady was super helpful and organised a boat trip for us even though the hotel boat was busy at the time we wanted.
The only piece of advice I would give, is if you want to use the Beach Club which is a few minutes walk away, then book in advance and be prepared to pay a lot for the sunbeds etc. However the pool at the Victoria is beautiful and was never busy.

This was the best overall hotel experience my wife and I have had since our honeymoon in Bora Bora 11 years ago! Lake Como is a busy place during the summer and you can escape that by staying here! We felt like we were transported to another dimension from the moment our car crossed the threshold of the property until the moment we left! The staff excelled at making us feel comfortable and relaxed! The service aspect of this hotel was second to none. As well as the spa! We have never experienced a spa of this magnitude included with the nightly rate of our room. The spa is truly where this hotel exceeds all expectations. I have already recommended this hotel to friends and family due to the spa. I have very rarely left a hotel and then spent more than a few minutes thinking back to the experience I had there. I have spent the last 48 hours since departing, wishing that I had booked more nights. If I decide to visit Como again, I will make it a priority to stay here!

Service was awful and generally very overpriced. Never again! Wouldn't come here for free.
