Breakfast is excellent. The woman who runs it is a star. She clearly loves her job.
The location is edge of town in commercial/industrial area, five minutes' drive to anything of interest. On the plus side, there's a Tim's across the street if that appeals.
Facilities are exceptionally clean and well maintained. I thought the building was 2-3 years old but they told me it was 7.

It was a very nice breakfast, full and plenty and everything was well displayed!
We had the opportunity to chat with Danielle who was an employee overseeing the breakfast area, she was very warm and welcoming and provided some great information about the area.
We didn’t have any feedback for improvement.
The breakfast was excellent, hot, fresh and generous.

I had a view of the water!! Georgian Bay and sunsets.
The next door suite had a noisy door that kept slamming frequently, even during the night, because the guest was constantly in and out.
The shower was not well contained in the bathtub and caused the bathroom floor to be soaking wet.

Breakfast was OK. There was a nice variety of options for food including cereals, yogurt, eggs, bacon, sausages and more which was nice. I believe the scrambled eggs were made from powdered eggs so were uniformly left on the plates but cold boiled eggs were an option and the bacon was tasty. Good overall - just avoid the scrambled eggs.
Asked for late check out on booking and received an email from Booking.com that this was granted. Mentioned the late check out request when we checked in at 11PM and was told to check with staff in the morning - we intended to but forgot. Despite our DO Not Disturb sign housekeeping hammered loudly on the door promptly at 11AM (standard check out time). We apologized and mentioned the above and asked for some leeway. Front desk called almost immediately and was extremely aggressive in NOT accommodating our request or permitting anything other than immediate expulsion. Feeling extremely unwelcome we did not argue and were out promptly. While checking out we tried to point out the disconnect and showed our email message confirming the late check out with the front desk. Rather than trying to be pleasant and at least pretend to listen, she reiterated several times that the error was not the Holiday Inn's (?!). She wouldn't move past assigning blame and offered no apologies, commiseration or pleasantries. We had a nice day at nearby Blue Mountain despite the wholly negative influence of the Holiday Inn staff. Separately, had to spend about an hour trying to get the TV to work; said it accommodates a service that allows "casting". Was forced to call into the call centre in the US who were helpful but they had to refresh the tv and call me back twice. In the end, it was too late by the time we fixed. Not a big deal but ...
