Pros:

Location, value for money,free parking the staff were excellent, fantastic breakfast

Cons:

The building was a bit tired but we understand there is a major refurbishment planned for next year so we are looking forward to revisting when this is done

Cons:

Pub is open until midnight so can be noisy until 12.15-12.30 while people leave.

Room well appointed & location of Balfour convenient.

Cons:

Could be a little noisy, particularly as my room was above the Billiard table.
Twice would have liked to have a coffee in the lounge or outside in the evening but both times the coffee machine had been turned off.

Pros:

Freundliche Leute und hübsches Pub. Sehr ruhig in der Nacht, obwohl wir Zimmer zur Strasse hatten. Sicheren, überdachten Platz für Fahrräder.

Cons:

Die Küche ist nicht wirklich das Highlight, das Abendessen war zu Tode frittiert.
Die Kaffeemaschine ist eine jämmerliche alte Beko -Haushaltskaffeemaschine, für einen Cappuccino braucht das Ding 2 Minuten und dann ist die Tasse erst zu 1/5 voll...nach dem 3. Durchgang stellte die Maschine ab und das Wasser lief unten raus. Es war aber immer rasch jemand da und kümmerte sich....

Die Adresse auf Booking.com ist falsch hinterlegt...wenn das Navi, Mapi, Komoot oder auch Goggle Maps meinen man hätte das Ziel erreicht, muss man einfach noch ca 600 m weiter dieser Strasse folgen, weiter abwärts...

Friendly staff at comfortable pub hotel
Pros:

Friendly staff in pub hotel in Sidmouth. Big comfortable bed, spotless linen and clean bathroom and room. Hot water was plentiful. Had everything we needed. Food was standard pub grub and filling and the breakfast was okay with lots of options. Not a bad location for exploring Sidmouth and area. Very quiet once pub was closed.

Cons:

There was a bit of noise in our room from the bar below but we had been warned by the hotel in advance and it was very quiet once the pub was closed.

Reasonable and convenient place to stay.
Pros:

Good location with parking, also on a bus route if needed. Helpful staff. Rooms was nicely decorated and quite spacious. Choice of breakfast which was fine.

Value for money in good location with a good breakfast to start the day.
Pros:

Beds were comfortable, shower was good and toiletries were great. Fan being provided was great as it was very hot. Breakfast good and set you up for the day. Thought overall it was good value for money.

Cons:

Pub closed at midnight and people didn't disperse for 20-30 minutes so it was noisy if you wanted to go to bed early. Decor a bit tired so needs updating and some things like toilet roll holder and towel rail need to be tightened up or repaired.

Comfortable and value for money. Parking and bus routes and pub open for a night cap when returning.
Pros:

Suitable pub accommodation which suited our needs whilst visiting relatives in the area. Used the bus service to get to Sidmouth and back as on the doorstep.
Very comfortable and clean bedroom.

Cons:

Building is a bit in need of repair and general maintenance.

Attent, behulpzaam en vriendelijk team.
Mijn kamer was prima: kraaknette lakens en handdoeken, zeer goed bed, goede douche en geen last van lawaai.
Ik heb er 2x gegeten (geen ontbijt): lekkere maaltijden en met goede producten bereid.
