The African Paradise Beach Hotel

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at African Paradise. The owners and staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, always attentive without being intrusive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit.
The location is also convenient for those who want to visit Paje. We caught a daladala directly from nearby (10 minutes), and walking back along the beach (40 minutes) a lovely way to end the day as the sun went down.
Breakfast was a highlight every morning: fresh fruit, eggs, and a rotating special dish, all served with fresh juice and coffee or tea. We also had dinner one evening, and the fried coconut fish was one of the best meals we had in Tanzania.
The beach itself was calm and peaceful, a real contrast to Paje. No vendors approaching you, just the sound of the ocean and space to truly unwind.
A fantastic place for anyone looking for an authentic, relaxed experience on Zanzibar. Highly recommended.

Nos hemos sentido como en casa en este hotel. El trato de los propietarios y de todo el personal ha sido de sobresaliente, siempre han estado pendientes de que estuviéramos bien y que no nos faltase de nada. La ubicación es perfecta para disfrutar de la tranquilidad de la playa y poder ir caminando por la playa hasta otras zonas con mayor actividad turística.
La habitación era estupenda muy limpia y el restaurante increíble, todos los platos estaban buenísimos y abundantes.
Sin duda, si volviera a Zanzibar, volvería a The African Paradise.

Diese Unterkunft hat nur eine 10 Verdient. Wir haben wirklich nichts auszusetzen und es war ehrlicherweise eine der tollsten Unterkünfte in der ich jemals war. Wir haben uns gefühlt wie zuhause und die Gastgeber und Mitarbeiter sind so freundlich. Danke!!!!

What a hidden gem this place is! From the moment we arrived, Pia and Hasim made us feel at home (you couldn't ask for lovelier hosts). The staff were all so kind and attentive, the food was delicious, and the vibes were chill (we loved the eclectic playlists). Our room (Deluxe Double with Balcony) was simple but had everything we needed...and the view from the balcony...ahhhhh...priceless. Although the weather prevented us from venturing too far from our base, we had an amazing time just hanging out with the resident cats and dogs, playing games and reading (Pia has an extensive library of great books to choose from). We particularly appreciated that this place is so small with only a handful of rooms, and that it's not in a super touristy stretch of the coast. Instead, come early evening, the beach was abuzz with locals from the surrounding villages just doing their thing - there were games of football being played, cows just strolling along the sand, and boats heading out to sea. Our only regret is that we weren't able to stay for longer!! Thanks for a wonderful stay, Pia and Hasim...we hope to visit your little slice of paradise again sometime. :)

Wir haben unsere Zeit im African Paradise sehr genossen. Es ist noch ein weitgehend unberührter Strand mit eher einheimischen Besuchern. Die Atmosphäre im African Paradise ist sehr persönlich und herzlich. Das Essen ist frisch und äußerst lecker. Kurzum: African Paradise ist sehr empfehlenswert für alle, die außerhalb der Hotelwelt die Küste von Sansibar genießen wollen.

Das Besitzerpaar und die Angestellten dieses kleinen Hotels haben mich und die anderen Gäste liebevoll und aufmerksam mit allem versorgt. Der Tag beginnt mit einer Fruchtplatte, es folgen zwei weitere Gänge, die täglich variieren. Leckere Speisen und Getränke werden hier den ganzen Tag über frisch zubereitet.Kaffee, Wasser und Tee werden gratis serviert. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und lassen sich temperieren. Der Mückenschutz vor den Fenstern funktioniert perfekt! Traumhaft ist der Blick auf den weißen Strand, auf das Treiben der Fischer und die Ruhe an diesem Ort. Die vielen Stromausfälle von Sansibar werden stets nach wenigen Sekunden vom Aggregat aufgefangen. Das WLAN ist sehr gut. Der belebte Ort Paje lässt sich gut zu Fuß über den Strand erreichen. In der Nachbarschaft findet man weitere Bars und Restaurants.

Die absolute Freundlichkeit, die Ruhe, die gute Küche (3-Gänge-Menue zum Frühstück).
Auch die Lage und das Familiäre haben uns voll und ganz überzeugt. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

I had a wonderful stay at The African Paradise Hotel in Zanzibar and would highly recommend it!

The first thing that impressed me most was the beautiful beach view. The color of the ocean is absolutely stunning, the beach is clean and peaceful, and every day it was a pleasure just to walk along the shore, relax, and watch the sunset. The whole atmosphere is incredibly calm and relaxing, making it a perfect place to truly slow down and enjoy island life in Zanzibar.

The food was also excellent. Every meal felt carefully prepared, everything tasted great, and the ingredients were fresh. Dining in such a beautiful seaside setting made the experience even more enjoyable.

What made the stay especially memorable, though, was the owner couple. They were genuinely kind, welcoming, and extremely patient. Whenever I had a question or needed help, they were always ready to assist with warmth and care. Throughout my stay, I really felt that they truly wanted every guest to feel comfortable and happy.

If you are looking for a hotel with a beautiful beach, delicious food, and warm, friendly hosts, The African Paradise Hotel is definitely worth choosing. Thank you for making my trip to Zanzibar even more special!

Placering lige ved stranden, havudsigt fra lejligheden, fantastisk opmærksomt og sødt personale/ejere. Hyggelig og afslappet stemning. Lækker mad! De søde hunde der passede godt på os :-)

Lage, Ausstattung, Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Eigentümer und des Personals!

Nous avons tout aimé car c est un petit hôtel géré par un couple adorable Pia et Hachin qui sont chaleureux au possible et plein d attentions.
L hôtel se situe sur la plage et n a que 9 chambres donc on est en famille. Loin de la foule des hôtels plus luxueux et anonymes.
Ça n est pas le luxe mais c est mieux que ça!
Les chambres sont nettoyées chaque jour.
On déjeune, dîne dehors. Les petits déj sont copieux et bons, la cuisine pourrait être plus variée quand on reste longtemps mais les plats sont bons, bien fait et face à la mer tout le temps.
La musique est excellente !
On peut marcher sur la plage et trouver des petits restos si on a envie de changer d endroits.
Possibilités de faire des excursions etc....
Mon mari a fait une otite et le propriétaire nous a enmenés au dispensaire le plus proche pour éviter trop de frais. Le personnel est adorable sans se forcer, Rose, Flora, Adana et les chats et chiens de la maison font partie du bonheur.

Le personnel et responsable de l’établissement étaient aux petits soins, d’une grande gentillesse et d’une générosité !

Die Gastgeber und das Personal waren super freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich, die Lage ist traumhaft mit Privatstrand und direktem Zugang zum Meer, das Frühstück und auch alle anderen Speisen und Getränke sind sehr lecker und nur zu empfehlen!

Omistajapariskunta on todella mukava ja sydämellinen. He tekevät kaikkensa, että vierailusi onnistuu täydellisesti. Jokainen yksityiskohta on huolellisesti mietitty. Myös hotellin ravintola on erinomainen. Suosittelen tätä paikkaa kaikille, jotka haluavat rentoutua upeissa rantamaisemissa.

Un vero angolo di paradiso, dove ogni dettaglio è curato con grande attenzione. La gentilezza e la disponibilità dei proprietari, insieme a quelle di tutto il personale, hanno reso il soggiorno ancora più piacevole, mentre il cibo si è rivelato semplicemente eccellente.
Un’esperienza da ricordare e da consigliare!
