The hotel is well appointed and fun to be in. The Staff was friendly and welcoming. The suites were lovely.
The whole unit was hot- we tried to work with the AC but had to go speak with someone at the front desk and later call again because it would not cool down. That made for an uncomfortable night. Also needed more towels but it was too late to call.
The Colton is a great hotel which gives you a lot of the amenities of an Air BnB ( Full kitchen, refrigerator, etc) large living room area, but also a few hotel amenities - a pool, a gym, a coffee shop with a taco truck. The only problem we had was the Air Conditioning never got cold- the hallways and other areas of the hotel were much cooler than our room. Also the WiFi went out for 3 days! If neither of these issues were a problem I would change my review to 5 stars.
Had a two hour relaxing time at the pool. The water was clean and a comfortable temperature considering the 100+ degree heat of the day. Plenty of towels at the pool. No noisy guests. Comfortable lounge bed with cover and pillows. The staff is professional and friendly. My room was great. My second stay at Colton House.
The internet was out of order but that did not impact me. As a result we had free parking ($40/day) as the entry gate works on WiFi. Imagine some guests were effected by internet down. TV still worked fine.
What a surprise! We were expecting the basics and found luxury. Efficient and friendly staff and so much space! Spotlessly clean. We were wishing our group trip had been longer just so we could stay longer.
Not a single thing!
Super Lage mit vielen Läden um die Ecke
Ein Safe wäre noch super gewesen
A hidden gem. Have driven past this place hundreds of times but just heard about it. Great atmosphere; friendly people. Love the bar; the library; area off the lobby. Outside area and pool area are well hidden from the street and very private. Can't wait to come back.
Pay for parking.
Great rooms, clean, big, big fridge and great shower
Beautifully decorated and very comfortable
Loved everything
Super clean and nice
Nothing
Loved the decor, rooms, cleanliness, Simone’s coffee and bar inside.
Small pool
Shady parking lot next door
I like that it has a kitchenette , very nice shower and comfortable bed.
That they didn’t have enough towels for the room when arrived and that you can’t get your own ice. Felt guilty asking for ice so many times.
I wish it has the option for apps to stream so I can put my own account. I dislike cable so much lol.
Disappointed that we booked the hotels for the amenities but find out we don’t have access to the lounge areas like it seemed on the website. Restaurant/bar closed at 4pm on Sunday when website said it’s open til 10pm. Asked front desk and lady said it’s different management than hotel. When asked, it’s the same company but different management which came across to me as a way to say it’s not her problem. The premium price to stay at this hotel is solely for the amenities and not just the room itself. Otherwise, there would have been much more affordable options near same location. Asked me how long I was staying and said leaving Tuesday and her response was oh so just one day (two nights though). Felt very dismissive of a response like only those paying more deserved good service. I said I was going to leave a 1 star review, didn’t raise my voice, but was frustrated with her attitude and she said I was threatening her which seemed crazy. A bad review isn’t a threat. Will not stay here again. Do not recommend.
Updated with photos to show bad design of room with amount of light. Picture shows blackout curtains drawn with zero lights on. They are hung too far away from windows and not wide enough. There are outside lights pouring in at night so never fully gets dark. The alarm clock is much too large and bright and all appliances have lights like microwave and thermostat making it difficult to sleep if you’re sensitive to light. Makes for great photos but there’s lack of thoughtfulness in the design. I had to cover all of the lights with clothing just to sleep.

It’s quite a trendy looking hotel and it’s a short walk to a cool part of town… value for money
The staff, and the parking situation. Out front are short term spaces which are free - a fellow guest parked his car there for over 2 days whilst we had to fork out money to park ours. The staff would say different answers about the car.
When you entered the hotel you were never acknowledged, a smile, or a welcome. We came and went and staff never lifted their eyes, the night staff especially.
And lastly, we agreed late check out. Return at midnight to see a note saying we don’t have late checkout and a drinks voucher. There was a wedding party so I imagine they asked for late check out too. Strange.
