Great place to stay, make sure you choose the best room
Pros:

It was quite classy

Cons:

I didn’t like the location of our room- number 7. Ground floor, and by the main entrance. My fault entirely- I always book the best room, but this looked fine- and the room itself was, just the location could have been better. It wasn’t private, as other guests were walking past.
Wine- it’s a poor show to offer up white wine (especially Champagne), if it isn’t chilled to perfection. If you are offering white wine, make sure it is chilled.
The staff had virtually no local knowledge.
The young lady in breakfast duty had no idea how I could pay my room bill. Some staff training is needed.

Almost good has potential to very good
Pros:

Rooms are good

Cons:

The stuff were great. It would be nice if they wore some sort of consistent clothing jeans black T-shirt that kind of thing. Twice I asked someone who turned out to be a guest. The room was good the bed comfy and clean the bathroom was nice. The ground floor windows are very vulnerable to intrusion and lack privacy. It was not possible to keep them open in the heat. We ate at the restaurant. The quality of cooking does not match the prices by a long shot. The ingredients were fine but the cooking skills did not do them justice. It was average pub food at restaurant prices. Generally nothing bad but for the price of the rooms and the quality of the kitchen there is a fair bit that can be done

Lovely, peaceful stay
Pros:

Beautiful, historic property maintained to make you feel like you have a trip back in time. Just lovely. The included breakfast was incredibly generous and delicious. The staff was extremely hospitable and the pub wonderful.

Cons:

There was no air-conditioning and it was very hot for a summer stay. And the shower could do with an update.

Pros:

Tolles Ambiente, leckere Angebote im Restaurant.

Cons:

Parkplätze mit Ladestationen sollten für E-Autos reserviert sein.
Wir mussten uns unseren Ladeplatz freikämpfen.

Cons:

The doors slam shut when they close which wakes up the next door. I know that this is a fire safety feature but I'm sure that they can be made quieter.

Overpriced, uncomfortable, no AC.
Pros:

Receptionist tried to be helpful.

Cons:

This isn’t a 4 star hotel. Not for facilities or service. It’s really a pub with some poor quality and dated rooms. The hotel is misrepresented in the photos and website and overpriced.

Our room was crammed (not charming), the sofa bed for our son was bumpy and hard. The hotel is on a very noisy road so you can’t open the windows. There’s no air conditioning and rooms are unventilated and unbearably hot, with small fans that provide no respite. The walls and roof provide no insulation in the summer. An outside temperature of about 28 degrees felt like 35 inside, we had very little sleep.

Disappointing - trying to be something it’s not and can’t get basics right like having pillow protectors
Pros:

Hotel manager and breakfast manager were very professional and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
Breakfast was lovely and beautiful produce.

Cons:

No pillow protectors, no mattress protector, no duvet (just a sheet?), cups are insufficient for the coffee machine, wardrobe door knob missing so was just a sharp screw, shower gel and shampoo canisters empty, steps upstairs to the room are dangerous and tread had come off sitting waiting to be fixed causing a trip hazard, work van on the car park with lads smoking cannabis and drinking lager, asked the barmaid for specials and to know the steak cuts and she just gave us a menu.
Restaurant food was nice but way over priced (£20 for a burger and fries/£14 prawn cocktail).
