The gardens, the quiet, the ambiance and decor.

Cons:

The pool looked dirty around the outside, the outside area from our room only had one chair and no table. No privacy at all. The breakfast area is too crowded. When there are tour buses they should park at the back instead of taking guest parking in the front. My least favourite thing is how there is a very strong perfume scent in the lobby. Way too much - I felt ill

Pros:

Situation en pleine nature, établissement à taille humaine.Gentillesse du personnel.Prestations haut de gamme.Super petit déjeuner.Le restaurant Magma était vraiment très bien.Spa et piscine formidables,et le petit bonus:le bain chaud dans la serre ananas !

Cons:

J'ai regretté le choix de la chambre.Les photos et le texte du site prêtent à confusion : à savoir la chambre standard qui n'a pas de terrasse et qui donne sur une cour intérieure..C'est particulièrement sombre et la salle d'eau vraiment dédiée à une personne en fauteuil roulant.Il aurait fallu choisir une mini chambre standard pour avoir une terrasse et une vue sur la piscine.Il faudrait le préciser dans le descriptif.Une remarque (ce n'est pas une critique) ,il y a une grande fréquentation de clients des USA.. S'attendre à devoir communiquer en anglais.Le français n'est pas du tout parlé sur l'île.b

Not worth the money, would not recommend.
Pros:

We got a free upgrade when we arrived and got the family room with two balconies and large bedroom. Check-out is standard at 12.00 O’clock.

Cons:

Really overpriced. We paid over €400,- for one night, but what you get in return us definitely not worth that much money (even with the free room upgrade). The spa facilities are really small. The steam cabin and sauna are just for two people at a time.

Pros:

Der Garten, Pool, sowie der Wellnessbereich inkl. Pilates. Die Lage ist super. Von der Terrasse oben hat ma einen schönen Ausblick.

Cons:

Schallisolierung ist bei 0. wir haben Nachbarn gehabt, die etwas feiern wollten und haben jede Bewegung im anderen Zimmer mitbekommen. Das Zimmer war schon sehr einfach eingerichtet. Für diesen Preis erwartet man etwas mehr als einen Vorhang anstatt dem Kleiderschrank.

Beautiful spot
Pros:

I visited Senhora da Rosa several times during my stay in São Miguel to enjoy both the restaurant and the spa, and I was genuinely impressed.

Although I was not a hotel guest, I was made to feel very welcome from the beginning. Filipa helped coordinate my restaurant reservations and spa appointments, which made everything easy and stress-free.

The spa was a lovely place to relax. I particularly enjoyed the treatments and appreciated the peaceful atmosphere.

I also had dinner at the restaurant on several occasions. The food was consistently excellent, with fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation, and attentive service. Every meal was enjoyable, and there was clear attention to detail from both the kitchen and service teams.

What I appreciated most was the friendliness and professionalism of everyone I met. The team created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me look forward to returning each evening.

I would happily recommend Senhora da Rosa to anyone visiting the Azores and hope to stay at the property on a future visit.

A beautiful rainforest retreat with outstanding staff and a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere.
Pros:

We stayed in one of the detached huts and absolutely loved it. The landscaping was exceptionally well done, creating the feeling of being immersed in a rainforest when looking out from the terrace and main window. The vegetation also provided excellent privacy between the individual huts. The entire property felt peaceful, natural, and very relaxing.

The staff were wonderful throughout our stay—always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help with anything we needed, whether it was extra water for a hike, lending an umbrella, or answering questions about the island. Their hospitality made us feel genuinely cared for.

Cons:

Nothing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
