Breakfast and amenities were incredible. It felt like we were staying at a hotel much more expensive than we could usually afford! We had the most wonderful time and would definitely return.
I wish I could have stayed longer! I made the mistake of not booking to eat dinner at the restaurant early enough in the day, so it was fully booked by the time I tried. Otherwise absolutely perfect.
モダンで素晴らしい
スタッフ、施設、全てにおいてよかったです。
The hotel ticked all the boxes and was full of all sorts of nice design features - in the rooms, the restaurant, the bar etc. - and the music in the lounge was great, as was the selection of Japanese gins in the bar!
Nothing to report!
We booked Nikko Style Nagoya based on our past good experiences with Nikko hotels, plus the strong ratings and convenient location. The customer service here was excellent — plenty of staff spoke fluent English, which made everything smooth. Room service was great as well.
The rooms are Japanese‑sized, so they’re definitely tight, but they do have a full‑size bathtub, which was surprisingly nice. The body wash and soaps all had a pleasant scent — none of that musky, low‑quality stuff some hotels use. Nikko Style didn’t cheap out on toiletries.
Breakfast was included, and it was solid. You pick a main entrée (eggs, fish, or a bread item), and then there’s a buffet with veggies, rice, miso soup, bread, and drinks. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared.
Overall, great service, great breakfast, and a comfortable stay — just be ready for tight rooms, pricey drinks, and extra fees if you want to check in early.
A couple downside/things to consider:
• They don’t have a swimming pool, which was a bit disappointing.
• They charge around ¥2500 per hour for early check‑in, even if it’s just an hour or two. Most hotels will let you check in a little early without nickel‑and‑diming you, so that fee felt unnecessary.
• The alcoholic drinks in the restaurant were extremely overpriced — about triple what you’d pay at a convenience store for the exact same drink.
• And for some reason, it took a long time for them to make a mojito, even though there were only about three people at the bar.
The staff were helpful, free luggage storage option
Walls are very thin, and you can also hear a lot of noice from outside. If someone next door or upstairs or downstairs was talking you could hear them.
