Park Hyatt Suzhou

I've reviewed this hotel in the past - it remains excellent. I've been a Globalist since 2019 and believe this is the best Hyatt in the world.

1) If you can afford it, I strongly recommend booking a terrace suite. They are gorgeous in the inside in design and size and have huge terraces that look out over the Jinji lake. I spend several hours every night sitting on the terrace looking at the lake and lighted ferris wheel. It is 100% worth the money for the terrace suites. They, as well as the park deluxe suites at PH Jakarta, are my favorite suites in the Hyatt system.

2) the Beijing duck is done very well here, and we always order it as a family when dining in the Chinese restaurant. They drench Wuliangye alcohol in the duck and light it in fire - it tastes great and make a wonderful photo or video opportunity.

3) service - best service I've seen at any hotel anywhere in the world, on parallel with Singita safaris in Africa. It's that good and customized, partially because I'm a repeat guest.

This is far and away my favorite hotel in the world. I do about 200 nights a year in a hotel and have done this for 20 years (Starwood and the Hyatt). And stay regularly in 4S, Mandarin Oriental, Rosewood, Peninsula, including their flagships in HK or Bangkok that win best hotels in the works.

For me, Park Hyatt Suzhou is the best hotel. There's not a single complaint I can make about it, except that I can't buy one of the suites to live in the hotel full-time. I have actually considered booking a suite to retire there.

Park Hyatt Suzhou is extremely clean and comfortable. It is among the best Park Hyatt properties I have ever stayed at. All staff members are friendly and professional. I highly recommend this hotel to travelers. The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a short walking distance to Jinji Lake. It is very convenient to stroll along the lakeside after dinner.

Good price with best Hyatt quality can offer. They did everything they can to make sure you get right treatment for this hotel. From front desk to house keeping are all very professional. Only restaurant for breakfast needs some work. But I will go back no matter what.

Amazing location close to the lake and SIP.

As a lifetime Hyatt Globalist member, I have stayed at a fair number of Park Hyatt and Andaz hotels around the world, and this hotel is one of the best (if not the best) I have experienced, with its hotel design, staff friendliness, food quality, amenities, and ambience.
I will definitely return in the future.

Excellent service from reception to housekeeping. Breakfast is refined with lots of selection. Hotel offered a free photo session with 屹奇旅拍, it was a nice touch to have a professional to take travel photos.

The Park Hyatt Suzhou hotel is an amazing hotel. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, providing great customer service. The hotel itself is elegant and artistic, looking like a modernized mix of Chinese and western designs. Everywhere you look are gardens and ponds, giving you a feeling of serenity and peace. Note however, that their is a lot of construction in the surrounding area. There is a nice lake nearby for walks or a morning run but you will need to take a short taxi or metro ride to get to the tourist sites.

Room (5/5): Room and layout was amazing. The room still feels brand new with the standard rooms having ample space with a separate sitting area, a large white marble bathroom, and walk-in closet.

Hotel (5/5): Entire hotel felt thoughtfully planned with classic Chinese design and artwork but still feeling very modern. The koi ponds in the middle of the hotel had a striking presence. Hotel also had a nice lobby with some space to sit and the gym was quite large.

Location (4/5): Next to Jinji lake, which is a pleasant view but the location is a bit far from major attractions in Suzhou. Will need a 25-30 minute ride to get to the primary gardens and busy streets. This was the only downside of the hotel.

Service and Cleanliness (5/5): Everything you would expect from a five star hotel.

This hotel was fantastic! My husband and I went for a mini trip to use up a free night at a hyatt and I would 100% come back to this hotel and pay fully out of pocket because it was definitely one of the best hotels I've ever been too. The rooms and facilities are beautiful, the service was impeccable, and the food in the restaurant was amazing. Although it's a bit far from the city center, it's accessible with taxis or subways, and I also recommend taking a walk around the neighboring lake in the evening!

We are Suzhou locals but decided to have a staycation at Park Hyatt Suzhou. The hotel’s view of the Sky Wheel and Jinji Lake was so impressive. I wished to stay there longer. The restaurant, Xi Zhou Hall, provides delicious and authentic food. We had a great time there!

The best Park Hyatt in the world! What a beautiful hotel.
Wonderful staff in particular Gerrard Luo the Assistant Front Office Manager who took such great care of us over and above expectations. He may be the hotel’s best asset.!
We will be back for sure !
