Hotel Cerro was, quite simply, one of the best hotel experiences we've had. Yes, the property is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed, and the downtown location cannot be beat... but the service is what really made our stay exceptional.

Marco at valet set the tone from the moment we arrived. Somehow equal parts five-star hospitality professional and laid-back rock star, he was unfailingly polite, helpful and genuinely welcoming every single time we saw him. He made a fantastic first impression, and the rest of the hotel lived up to it. Jenn, the front desk host, was warm and wonderful.

Our room was wonderful, but the balcony overlooking the edible garden may have been my favorite part. It was peaceful, beautiful and such a unique feature. Being right in the middle of downtown SLO meant we could walk almost everywhere; we went an entire day without touching our car, including dinner, the Farmers' Market and a show at the Fremont.

We also ended up eating at The Oak Grill at least once a day because it was just that good. Breakfast became a ritual (avocado toast every morning? Absolutely). It never felt like we were settling for the convenient "hotel restaurant"; we genuinely wanted to eat there.

Hotel Cerro was definitely a splurge for us, but our stay felt special from beginning to end. Beautiful property, terrific food, unbeatable location, great room and balcony, and—most importantly—a staff that made the entire experience feel effortless. We will be back.

We had a most wonderful visit in SLO, largely due to our Hotel Cerro stay. The hotel is in a wonderful location, right downtown. However, our room was so quiet and peaceful. Shops, farmers market, and restaurants were within one-two blocks. Yet, we had to peel ourselves from the room due to the great bed, awesome stand alone soaking tub, and a great patio. We cannot wait to go back.

Celebrating our 24th anniversary, and Hotel Cerro met the challenge thanks to Rebecca at the front desk, she made my wife and I feel special. And the facility was incredible. Beds were comfortable, pool was amazing, bar was fabulous, and all the Cerro employees made us feel welcome. We wanted a weekend to get away and do nothing, and Cerro helped us relax and hit the target.

The venue was perfect, the staff was terrific, the hotel design was ideal for SLO, our room was lovely, and our event was a blast! The Olive Tree Room & Terrace was intimate and ideal. Much thanks to the Cerro team!

Everything from the beginning to the end was fantastic. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The check-in and checkout processes were both incredibly easy. Overall, it was an exceptional experience and I would highly recommend it.

Great hotel, luxurious room beautiful garden and great service

Great experience overall. I love the modern design of the room and it was incredibly clean - it looked brand new. The hotel staff were friendly including the valet. The pool was very nice and not crowded (mid-week stay). My favorite coffee shop is conveniently located right across the street. We ate breakfast at the hotel and both my wife and I enjoyed our meals. We’ll definitely use this hotel if we are in town at SLO.

We had a wonderful stay! The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Everything about our stay was great, and we truly appreciated the excellent service. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to others.

Hotel Cero was the perfect 1 day stop on my way to Big Sur. It was steps away from the Thursday Farmer’s Market and convenient for downtown shopping & activities.

Couldn’t have found a nicer town to spend our anniversary. Hotel, activities, amenities and ambiance were all top notch. People and variety of things to do in San Luis Obispo was a great way to ring in our country’s 250th birthday ✌️❤️🇺🇸

Absolutely fabulous!! Staff was great and friendly! Hotel is beautiful and we loved sitting in the garden with the fire wall.
