Close to where we visited and near restaurants and shops and bus stops. Lovely food and a good choice at very reasonable price

Very clean, room good size and comfortable . Shower excellent. Staff friendly and helpful
Minor points really. Toilet roll holder directly behind loo meaning if you sit down you have to be a contortionist to reach it.
No chair in room, some pillows need replacing .
Not getting charged twice for the same room would be nice (one booked, apparently, over a year ago) ... fourth time I have been shafted by booking.com cost me a lot ... will swerve any other transactions wherever possible ... double charged ... bank account raided ... disgusting, alleged, room (had to book a premier inn on the day I arrived and another hotel cancelled the day before my trip - so not impressed
Not much
Bathroom stank. Staff were unprofessional.
Receptionist was very friendly and nice, there was free parking and plenty of room to park.
Where to start? If the owner is reading this, I would seriously consider replacing the hotel manager because the entire property feels neglected.
I get the impression that this was once a lovely hotel, but there is now a clear lack of care everywhere you look.
It starts with the car park. There was rubbish scattered throughout the parking area and around the entrance. Simply keeping these areas clean would create a much better first impression, but instead it immediately gives the feeling that the property isn't being looked after.
The biggest issue, however, was seeing a mouse come out of the kitchen. The food prices looked very appealing, and we had planned to eat at the pub that evening. Unfortunately, after seeing a mouse, we completely lost our appetite and decided not to order any food.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel also needs significant improvement. My five-year-old son even commented that the hallway "smelled like goats." Children tend to be brutally honest, and unfortunately he wasn't wrong.
The bathroom was also not cleaned to an acceptable standard. I found nail clippings left behind from previous guests, which is simply unacceptable. If there is one thing a hotel should never compromise on, it is cleanliness.
The towels also felt rough and didn't smell freshly laundered. There was none of the fresh scent you would normally expect from clean towels. Using a decent fabric conditioner is a small investment that would make a noticeable difference to guests' comfort.
The walls showed signs of water damage and hadn't been repaired, adding to the overall feeling of neglect.
One thing that really stood out was the collection of beautiful historical photographs displayed in the hallways. They reminded me that this hotel was probably once a wonderful place to stay. Sadly, today it feels as though it has been left to deteriorate due to a complete lack of care and maintenance.
