I loved the location and the bedroom.
Nothing.
Great location for cruise terminal
Nothing, it was good
The Hyatt Regency at Yokohama is a wonderful hotel. It is at the airport and has a small shopping area attached where there are nice restaurants and good shopping. It is a very convenient clean modern space with good room sizes and is very comfortable. they also provide a good breakfast with both Asian and western choices.
The hotel I booked is nearly half the price comparing either Westin and Sheraton. The staff there is super friendly and helpful as we handling two kids. The location is super great with walking distance to major attractions, and a sub direct to Tokyo. Only pitty thing is the breakfast in the lounge is boring, but with the price what can you blsme
It’s clean, spacious and staff are courteous.
Not much night life in the area.

Just the chrome cast
Muito confortável, bom gosto e funcionários atenciosos.
We stayed at Hyatt Regency Yokohama for two nights during our May 2026 Japan trip as a family of four with two children (ages 4 and 6). To maximize our stay, we spent the first night in a Regency Suite and the second night in a standard Twin Room before flying home. It turned out to be a great strategy, and the hotel made the room transition effortless by transferring all of our luggage while we were out sightseeing.
The Regency Suite (74 sqm) was the highlight of our stay. It features a separate bedroom and living room, giving our family plenty of space to relax after a full day exploring Yokohama. The two 140 cm twin beds were exceptionally spacious, allowing all four of us to sleep comfortably without needing the sofa bed. The standard Twin Room (37 sqm) was naturally smaller but still felt generous by Japan standards. It included a sitting area and work desk, and while we could only comfortably open one large suitcase at a time, it was more than adequate for our final night.
Both rooms were modern, spotless, quiet, and very well maintained. The suite bathroom was especially impressive, with a double vanity, separate toilet, separate shower, and a large bathtub that was perfect for bathing the kids. The standard room also featured a separate toilet with a combined shower and bathtub. We appreciated thoughtful amenities such as children's pajamas, slippers, toothbrushes, and the option to request a Hollywood twin bed setup.
One of the most memorable parts of our stay was the hotel's attention to detail. Before arriving, we asked if they could prepare a simple welcome note for our daughters. Instead, we were pleasantly surprised to find a personalized "Happy Holiday Omira & Alaana" card, a cake for the children, and a complimentary bottle of wine waiting in our suite. It was an unexpected gesture that made our stay feel even more special.
We upgraded both nights with Hyatt points to enjoy Regency Club access. Breakfast in the Club Lounge offered a good selection of both Western and Japanese dishes in a quiet, relaxed setting. While the food itself wasn't particularly memorable, we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere far more than a busy main restaurant. Since children under 12 are not permitted during evening cocktail hours, the hotel offers a complimentary picnic basket instead. We simply collected it and enjoyed it back in our room, which worked perfectly for our family.
The location was also very convenient. Nihon-odori Station is about a 5–7 minute walk away along wide, stroller-friendly pavements. There is a Lawson convenience store directly across the street, several restaurants nearby, and the hotel accepts Yamato luggage forwarding, making it especially convenient for travelers moving between cities.
For value, we were genuinely impressed. We paid approximately IDR 3.58 million plus 6,000 Hyatt points to upgrade to the Regency Suite, while the standard Twin Room cost around IDR 2.96 million with an additional 3,000 Hyatt points for Club Lounge access. Compared with similarly priced luxury hotels in Tokyo, Hyatt Regency Yokohama offers significantly more space and excellent overall comfort.
This isn't a resort-style hotel with kids' clubs or playgrounds, so I personally reserve my 5-star ratings for properties with more extensive family facilities. However, if you're looking for a modern luxury city hotel with spacious rooms, warm service, and thoughtful touches for families, Hyatt Regency Yokohama is an excellent choice. We would absolutely stay here again, especially in the Regency Suite if we have enough Hyatt points to upgrade.
Who I'd recommend it for: Families visiting Yokohama, couples, business travelers, pre- or post-cruise stays, or anyone looking for a spacious luxury city hotel that offers excellent value compared to Tokyo.
