It was a great stay, always is. There's a lot of stuff to do within walking distance.
Staff was awesome!!! Sooo helpful!!!
All the construction downtown!
Very clean.
Stupid AC makes way too much noise could not
Sleep.
The hotel itself was very nice—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained- and the staff was friendly. We knew it was on the expensive side when we booked, so the room rate wasn't a surprise. However, the surrounding area didn't feel particularly safe, which wasn't what I expected for the price. I was also disappointed that parking was an additional charge. Overall, we had a comfortable stay, but I think those are good things for future guests to know.

The mattress was caving in the middle.
This was my second time staying at this hotel and giving the Garden Restaurant a chance. The first time I visited was back in end of October, when I was told by the bartender that the hotel was "going through a shift in management." I gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to try again during this stay. Different bartender, same terrible service and food. The restaurant was a mess. Dirty dishes were left sitting on tables throughout the dining room, drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive, and the overall service was completely unacceptable. After waiting and becoming increasingly frustrated, I asked to speak with a manager. Instead of a restaurant manager, I was sent the front desk manager, who clearly had no experience, or understanding of how to address restaurant-related concerns. When I asked for the actual restaurant manager, I was told she leaves at 5:00 PM. How does it make any sense for a restaurant manager to be gone before dinner even starts? There appeared to be absolutely no management presence. Breakfast wasn't any better. Honestly, you're better off DoorDashing food or walking to the next hotel down the road for breakfast. The female server was incredibly rude and seemed bothered that guests were there. I again asked for a manager and was then told they don't get in till around 9 .... so if the manager isn't there for dinner and isn't there for the majority of breakfast then whats the point? The food arrived cold. To make matters worse, I called and left two voicemails for the restaurant manager and have yet to receive a call back. The hotel itself is nice. The lobby is beautiful, and I enjoyed the view. However, do yourself a favor and skip the Garden Restaurant altogether. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance that would provide a far better dining experience. I don't typically leave negative reviews, I had to make an account just to write this but the lack of management, poor service, dirty dining room, cold food, rude staff, and complete failure to follow up with a guest complaint left me with no choice.
Cleanliness and service was excellent
I’ve stayed here three times. It’s always clean and quiet. Great location and the staff are very helpful.
I couldn’t get the coffee maker to work properly this morning and didn’t have time to sort out the issue.
We chose the Hilton because we wanted to stay centrally during a race weekend. On street parking is free over the weekends which was a bonus. However we walked in and things went down. Their keycard system was down which meant we couldn’t easily access the rooms, pool or elevator. Since elevators were down they had us walk with luggage to the 4th floor. No offer to carry the luggage or bring it on a freight elevator. Staff seemed confused on how to handle the situation, would have benefited from a manager being on sight. Room itself was beautiful and things improved later in the day when they were fully operational again.
Clean and bed was very comfortable
Nothing
The location was extremely convenient to anything downtown Kalamazoo and was easy to get to. Parking garage was attached to the hotel via a walkway, which made it easy. Staff were hardworking, friendly, and did whatever they could to help. Hotel had a nice array of convenience items in their shop that we could buy at any time. Decent hotel bar. Breakfast, while not free, was reasonably priced. Nice, if small, pool and gym. Room was very comfortable. Everything was very clean and safe.
Would have been nice if breakfast was free. Key cards didn't always work getting out of the garage, but we could get out by calling for help (and that only took a second).
We had such an amazing experience here! From the moment we arrived, the entire staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful.
The room was absolutely beautiful—very clean, comfortable, and the view was amazing. It was 100% worth it and made our stay feel even more special.
A huge shoutout to the Front Desk Manager, Adam, who truly went above and beyond for us. He made sure our visit was not just good, but memorable, and that meant more than we can put into words.
We also had the pleasure of being taken care of by Bree, the bar supervisor, who was fantastic and added to the great experience.
We booked the Valentine’s dinner for two, and it did not disappoint! The 12 oz ribeye was cooked perfectly, the garlic mashed potatoes were delicious, the salads were fresh, and the chocolate-covered strawberries were the perfect touch.
During dinner, the entertainment was top-notch—seriously impressive talent, and he had us laughing the whole time. Also, shoutout to that sparkly jacket… iconic ✨
Overall, every single staff member played a part in making our stay unforgettable, and we are so grateful. We will absolutely be back!
Early dinner of Cajun shrimp & grits was wonderful. So was the buffet breakfast. Even the coffee was excellent!
The tricky aspect of exiting the parking garage was frustrating. Had to use the call button for help every time.
Terrible breakfast service. Lacy did not check on us after serving and was very rude. Ordered off menu and she was urging us not to. You should find a new server who actually likes people
