I liked the location of the hotel, the design and decor of the lobby area and of the restaurant, as well as of some of the rooms I stayed in (I changed my room three times). The staff were friendly and helpful.
I believe the rooms need better maintenance and housekeeping. I had to change my room 3 times. The reasons included: 1st room: noise waking me up during the night (strong sound resembling that of water running through some installtions, which I recorded and sent to the reception staff); 2nd room: partially clogged sink and many flies inhabiting the room and bathroom; 3rd room: I believe it was a downgrade and did not match what I originally paid for (there was not enough clarity about this by staff). Even in the fourth room, water was leaking when taking a shower into the floor of the bathroom (cabin door not well sealed), but I didn't wanna change the room for a fourth time. The housekeeping could also be improved. The hotel policy is to have the studio/room cleaned once a week in principle; yet, in some rooms, I found only one set of towels or one toilet paper roll, while others had spare towels and toilet paper. In one room there were plenty of clothes hangers, while another had none.
Large fridge. Bathroom. Towels.
Air conditioning does not meet basic expectations.
Night Staff and receptionist were friendly. Room was lovely
Not much of a view but apart from that everything ok
Common area is great, loved over design of the place
We had a pleasant stay overall, and the staff were helpful when we requested a room change. The only downside was the bathroom smell. In the first room, there was a very strong odour coming from the pipes, like stagnant water or old plumbing. After moving rooms, unfortunately the same issue was noticeable, especially around the entrance to the ground-floor apartments and in the bathroom itself. It smelled quite strongly of old pipes/drains. Aside from that, the stay was good.
Location on the southside was great. Walking distance to Tower Bridge and everything in the general area - Borough Market, plenty of things to see and lovely eating places. Late reception was a bonus, as was the onsite bar. The rooms were clean, well appointed and fully self-contained including washing machine, which was more than I expected. Comfy bed, staff were lovely. It would be easy to stay here many days or even weeks. Breakfast was included with our room rate. It was well-set up for working on-site with many desks set up in the main reception area, although we were there for leisure and did not use this facility.
Although I did arrive towards the end of the breakfast time (1 hour) the hot food had been sitting for some time and wasn't the freshest or the warmest, although they cooked us some lovely fresh eggs. A refresh of a few items part way through the breakfast time would solve this easily.
I loved having a washer in the room, the towel warmer was a nice touch, and glad the window could crack open. View from it was also nice. The bed was comfortable (though the pillow was flat) and the public areas had a great vibe too. The location was also convenient and generally felt safe.
The shower always leaked water during use, seems like the door could be better sealed. Wish laundry detergent and paper towels had been provided. And lotion. (I.e., basic stuff most Airbnbs have, since this place is supposed to be like that.) I also didn't like the cramped layout. Not a lot of natural light, the TV was at an awkward spot, and I banged into walls a lot. The oven also confused me, even when I looked up the manual.
Good location and well appointed apartment.
Our room was in desperate need of renovation as a lot of paint and wall chips. The bathroom requires detailed cleaning as it was not attended to.
I spent all day and night sweating it was unbearably hot and reading to comments this is a recurring problem, I wish was informed on arrival that there was a problem with the AC. I would have made alternative arrangements and stayed else where.
knowing that this is a recurring problem another solution could be put in place but the response from the staff was blase, it has been days since I contact to hotel but have received no response
The location
The room. Th room could do with better interior design. The sink from the first day wasn't draining well. The air conditioning was not cooling. Maintenance was not available the first two days. Air conditioning was fixed on day 5 of my 6-night stay. I would have checked out of the hotel if it was refundable. I'm never booking this hotel ever again.
I liked that it had a wet room, comfortable bed, wardrobe easily accessible
Hair dryer, iron
L
For a wheelchair/disabled room
-kitchen dishes/ cook wear was way too high
-hanging for clothes also too high
-bench in shower felt unstable/worried I'd slide off
-first night was told bar/kitchen closed
-if I was in a bigger chair it would've been difficult to manage in room
It was stylish
My room was boiling as the air conditioning was not working properly. They couldn’t get my room temperature below 27.5 and mostly it was up around 29 degrees Celsius so it was so uncomfortable in the room and it was impossible to get a good nights sleep. No offer to move rooms and I was told that as it was the weekend maintenance were not around to fix the problem, so I just had to suffer.
