WE NEVER HAD THE OPTION FOR BREAKFAST EVEN THOUGH IT WAS IN ON OUR BOOKING?
It was very old and outdated with very old wallpaper and furniture. We saw one member off staff when we checked in and then no-one the whole weekend. The bar was shut with no explanatoion why. No food or breakfast. This hotel was shocking and we should be getting some sort off refund. We should have been told this before we turned up and given a choice as to if we still wanted to stay. The room was stuck in time with the fake roof and wall paper. The worst bit was we stayed in a pub hotel so we could be surounded by a bit off energy and life, but never seen anyone. The floor boards creaked and it was a horrible experience, My partner could not sleep as she thought we were about to be abducted in this strange place.
Nothing
A hostel not a hotel and was vastly over priced. Without doubt the worst place we have had the misfortune to stay. Amazed that booking.com are promoting it. Not even a toilet roll holder and no shower mat.
Location excellent - nice and central Staff VERY helpful and friendly
Sea View was lovely
Parking: according to booking.com hotel had parking which is why we booked
However the hotel subsequently contacted us to explain they had no parking but there was on street parking but with time restrictions
Facilities - the room was very small especially for 2 tall people and their luggage
Like the location and our room was nice
Comfortable beds
The rest of the hotel dated and damp smell
Had to park at our own risk on the road outside the hotel .. Staff said the council said they will start charging to park but didn't know when it would start
Locatie
Geen lift en erg gedateerd, geen faciliteiten in het hotel
Clean, well presented room. Staff very friendly and helpful
Very large room. Comfortable bed. Plenty of room for dogs in this room, number6.
Very clean room and nice crisp bedding.
Good amount of tea and coffee sachets.
Great location, easy walk into centre of town.
Restaurants and bars easily walkable.
Accepts dogs.
Pretty much no toiletries in bathroom, sachets of shampoo and very small soaps. For the money paid I’d expect more to be supplied.
The reception was barely manned. Had to ring a bell or telephone if staff were needed. Considering the price I’d expect the reception to be on hand.
Room 6 is right at the top of the hotel, 3.5 flights of stairs, got up to the room and key had stopped working! Not impressed that I had to go all the way back to reception, wait for them to answer the call bell and issue a new key. It happened again but this time I kept trying, pushed key in more forcefully and it worked… might’ve been a connection issue.
The hotel has a bar which last time we stayed we had used several times in the evening. This time, even though it was a very warm and busy weekend, it was closed the whole time.
I’m not sure we will stay again. They charge a lot for what they actually supply. Breakfast or any type of food is not available.
There is street parking which is now 3 hours free, no return for 3 hour.
Very clean, friendly staff and location is superb.. had a room with sea view and it didn't disappoint
Location
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were welcoming and friendly.
Room was lovely, comfortable and spotlessly with ample storage. Great tea and coffee facilities. Table and 2 chairs in the bay window was a lovely touch. Enjoyed my morning coffee there looking at the Seaview. The hotel is in the main street where there are plenty of good pubs and restaurants
I can't think of anything negative about this hotel. I will definitely return
Location good. Rooms good. Pity they don’t do breakfast.
Cleanliness and ensuite was good.
It was a little dated so bedroom could be modernised and colour co-ordinated. There was a bar but it was closed.
The location, was great, we had a sea facing room, very near the beach and restaurants. The landlord was friendly and helpful on our arrival. the room was clean, bright and comfortable. Tea and Coffee were available in the room, and a hairdryer was supplied.
I had put in the filter that we needed parking and breakfast, so when this hotel came up I assumed it had those things. It didn't have either. My fault for not reading the small print better. parking was very tricky, though the Landlord gave us his space the first night to help us out. We thought it was expensive as it didn't include breakfast. Shampoo sachet was available the first day, but not the 2nd. I was glad I had brought my own. We didn't have the Wifi advertised in our room, only found it the next morning on the lobby wall. Having it in the room would have been helpful.
We needed a few hooks in the bathroom, and surfaces. Had to put things on the floor. An anti slip mat in the bath too.
