Die Lage

Cons:

'Deluxe Zimmer ' stellte sich als dunkler, verlebter Kellerraum heraus.
Bad stinkt extrem unhygienisch, trotz Beschwerde konnte das Problem nicht gelöst werden. Personal hat zudem sehr unprofessionell reagiert und keinerlei Lösung angeboten.

Au cas particulier, via Booking nous avons réservé une chambre à l’hôtel « Historic Plaza Varos », situé au 1 Bilanova à Split. Cet hôtel - tant sous ce nom qu’à cette adresse - n’existe tout simplement pas.

Ainsi, en panne de batterie sur le téléphone qui avait enregistré, et les échanges avec Booking et les numéros de téléphone de l’hôtel, et l’itinéraire sur GPS, nous avons pendant près d’une heure tourné et viré autour du 1 Bilanova sans trouver l’hôtel.

Au terme de moult disputes et échanges salés entre nous, nous avons fini par trouver dans la rue Bilanova, un passant habitant dans le voisinage qui nous a conseillé de nous retourner et de regarder, non le trottoir du côté impair, mais celui du côté pair. Effectivement au 14 -16 Bilanova, nous avons trouvé un hôtel appelé « Héritage Palace Varros ». La réception de cet établissement nous a confirmé qu’elle avait bel et bien une réservation à nos noms pour la nuit considérée ce, tout en riant de notre sidération et de nos observations sur l’inexactitude du nom et de l’adresse communiquées et du stresss généré. En riant, sinon quasiment en chantant, elle nous tendit la clef de notre chambre située au deuxième étage de son bâtiment …. Que nous avons alors découvert être sans ascenseur ( paliers de plus de 4 mètres de haut).

Comfortable and easy walk to restaurants and cafes
Pros:

My room was very cozy despite being very large. The bed was comfortable

It was an easy stroll from restaurants, cafes and the touristy part of old town.

Cons:

I couldn’t figure out how to get anything on the tv. Not a big deal as I was just casually curious about a football match

This is a special find!
Pros:

It was very roomy and nice. We especially loved the terrace! What a bonus. Stefani was SO helpful! She even made a dinner reservation for us when she was off work.

Cons:

All the stairs to get to our room. We realize that can't be helped, but that was the only negative.

Split visit in two days
Pros:

Friendly reception (Maria sorted issues with shower hot water), location, beautiful room, comfortable.

Cons:

1. Parking at bit complicated had link but paying for day fee took some time to sort. Had to pay at Tisak. 2. Off site breakfast bit far (and need voucher which means I had to keep track of) and not same experience as with hotel. The buffet ran a bit low on second day on some items and juice really just water with hint of apple.

Historic plaza
Pros:

Absolutely stunning building in a beautiful part of town. Location is amazing, so close to everything you'd want to see.
Staff very friendly and made me feel welcomed.
Room was large with great facilities.

Cons:

Pros:

Stayed at Hotel Varoš in Split and had a really lovely experience. The rooms have a beautiful historic charm that makes the stay feel authentic and unique.

What truly stood out was the service — especially Ina at reception. She was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. After I had already checked out, she still allowed me to use a shower when I came back from the beach, which I really appreciated.

Small gestures like that make a big difference. Would definitely recommend this place for both the atmosphere and the warm hospitality.
