I would definitely stay here again 🥰
Pros:

Fabulous central location. Breakfast was delicious & the staff were lovely. I always love a pub stay, the character of the old buildings is in everything.

Sorry but wouldn’t go back Hotel needs to be upgraded

Cleanliness of room and hotel. Could be better. There was a fingernail on the bathroom floor when we checked in!

Did a job for us, that's all I can say.
Pros:

Everything was very dated, Light fitting over the bed was literally hanging by the wire connectors. Not good.
Fan collapsed when we turned it on. Sorry to say but its all very dated, and it appears to me that the whole place is struggling, as are many many places, due to our shit government crippling anyone who is trying to make a decent living.
I hope the proprietors continue despite the above comments, because without you guys we wouldn't be able to enjoy Whitby.

A nice mini break in Whitby.
Pros:

Room was lovely, great view of river and bridge in middle of the town. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good. The only reason we did not score higher is that the WiFi was not available from the hotel but we were told we could log in to others nearby with just a password. This meant a very weak WiFi connection or none at all which is just not good enough in this day and age when everyone expects good WiFi, so they really need to get it arranged.

Cons:

As above re the WiFi, everything else was very good, But WiFi is super important for us so they need to arrange their own WiFi. For this reason alone we will not stay here again.

Friendly pub, with great sized room and view. Perfect location.
Pros:

Room was a great size and had a view, breakfast was excellent with a very obliging chef. And we appreciated being able to leave our luggage for a couple of hours. Pub had good ambience and reasonable prices for drinks and meals. Location perfect.

Cons:

We didn’t realise there was no parking and with the bridge closed it was confusing as to where to park nearby. Perhaps it could be clearer that there is no parking and some suggestions given of where to park.
