Cons:

As part of the check-in process, my passport was taken by reception to be scanned. It was not returned to me afterwards. When I realised my passport was missing, I returned to reception twice to ask for assistance, but I was not given any meaningful help or informed that my passport was in their possession.
It was only on my third visit to reception, after I offered a monetary reward for anyone who could help locate it, that my passport was finally returned to me. I then discovered that my passport had been sitting at reception all along.
What is particularly concerning is that nobody thought to contact my room to let me know that they had my passport. I had spent an entire day believing that my passport was missing and was preparing to go through the stressful and expensive process of applying for an emergency travel document, when the passport was actually in the hotel’s possession.

Pros:

Food and drink were amazing! Staff were also extremely helpful and accomodating.

Cons:

We had issues with outside noise from our room but were very quickly assisted and moved within the hour. No complaints otherwise

Only here for 2 nights. We were happy to be able to have an early check in.

We Chose it - Staff were the making of it

Rooms as expected - not huge but clean

Cons:

The grumbles about breakfast choice - for 4 days out of 7 it was same.. spaghetti - brown stuff- scrambled eggs mmm
Hotel needs to have house wine as advertised and stop giving excuses about ‘ we can’t get’ . Go buy some and stop this issue and

Pros:

We had a fantastic stay at Lava in Samoa. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food was outstanding—especially the delicious supo esi for breakfast. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable. I highly recommend Lava and look forward to coming back 👌🏽

I loved the big open foyer, bar and seating area but bathrooms were small and pool access awkward.
Pros:

Loved the very contemporary open entrance foyer, bar, seating and dining area which had a very welcoming, relaxed and comfortable ambiance. Great for meeting up with friends and family. The breeze coming through was lovely. I would stay here again for this alone. Food great. Staff and cleanliness excellent.

Cons:

Three things: 1. The room was just a bit small and the bathroom was too small and cramped. 2. Access to the pool from your room was awkward. At first it seemed you had to walk right through the dining area. It was not until my third day I realized I could reach the pool through a passage beside the lift. This was not obvious or signposted. It needed to be well signed. At other hotels it is really nice to be able to go almost directly from your room to the pool. 3. Finally there was no gym.

Great hotel in good location with everything you need.
Pros:

Great location close to town and staff very helpful. Lovely big King size bed so slept well and very quiet.
