I loved the downstairs common living area for guests, very well equipped with pool table, attractively and colourfully decorated with comfy furniture and buffet area, it was a really pleasant place to spend the evening. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean.
The rooms were rather small (but functional). We stayed during some of the 2 hottest days of the year so far, the air conditioning units did not work very well which made it very hot and uncomfortable for our kids who didn't think to mention this (we did some twiddling with ours and it sort of worked).
The location was ideal for what we needed.

Although it is a budget hotel, there were some things that could have been offered as standard with no impact on price.
For example, no towel rail in the showerroom so we had to hang them on the clothes rail in the main room. There was no chair in the room, just a cheap plastic (uncomfortable) stool.
No hairdryer in room - luckily I had brought one but we heard people asking at reception and it appeared there were only a few available to borrow so often they did not have any available.
Breakfast basic, so we only did that on the first morning. Did not do the breakfast buffet as not really worth the cost.

Nice breakfast, but run out often and staff needed to be asked regularly to refill items. Good facilities basic but good for what we needed
There was a dead pigeon outside our window. We told the staff, they said they knew about it. Stayed 2 nights in hot weather and it was not moved.
