Nice stay close to venues. Bring your own pillows.
Pros:

We were really close to the Tacoma Dome for our Concert. Good secure parking. Staff was very attentive and kind. Beautiful view from the King suite.

Cons:

For the cost we were expecting a little “more”. The room was nice however their furniture is not very comfortable. Very short, being 6ft it was hard to get comfortable on the couch.
Pillows were pretty flat, and there was a hole is the aged sheets.

Pros:

I like the room's decor, the view and the shower were excellent.

Cons:

I didn't like was that a bottle of water from the room was $5 USD. Also, the tea and coffee from the restaurant were $5 USD.

location had many local eateries and coffee cafes
light rail right outside the door!

Cons:

parking was terrible- hard to get from front door to park entrance; lot had narrow turns and few slots

All in all was fine glad we had a nice place to stay but a little more communication would be nice

I didn't like the parking garage. I saw an exit sign several times when I was trying to exit the garage and ran into a dead end. The exit sign was for pedestrians, not cars, but how was I to know? Definitely need better signage. I didn't like having to back my car up to try and find the vehicle exit! Very frustrating.

Exhausted with Marriott and poor service.
Pros:

I'll make this quick. Marriott used to be a higher end hotel. This location has done a fairly recent remodel but is lacking in many areas. People - approached the check in desk and literally had the employee stare at me for at least 10 seconds, no hello, how are you, can I help you. Downhill from there. This Marriott does not have valet parking (used to be standard at Marriott's) and the guy who checked me in didn't provide any details on where the lot was, how to re-enter the hotel, nothing. Made a request that maintenance had to address and when they showed up to my room they tried to fix something that I didn't ask for. The guy (who checked me in) that I spoke to about the maintenance issue did not listen to the problem. More personnel issues, housekepping did a less than average job. Then had an encounter with an extremely rude employee in the bar/restaurant area that resulted in me leaving the property to eat and watch the soccer game at another location. Very poor awareness of how to treat guest.

I left a message for the manager to call me and I never received a call. I am sure he will respond here and make a very verbose apology and invite me to call him to make things right. At least this is what every other Marriott manager has done with poor reviews in the past. over the last six years I have found that Marriott is not the least bit interested in righting the wrongs they commit and I am tired of paying a premium and receiving budget level service and ammenities.

Open to suggestions for the best hotel to switch to.
