Pros:

The breakfast was surprisingly good, with fresh ingredients and a variety of options (Japanese and Western). Staff are very friendly. The room is spacious with black-out curtain. Nearest bus stop is within 1 minute walk.

Cons:

The location is superb, which means it's super busy right outside the hotel. Convenient but can be a bit overwhelming. (Of course this is no fault of the hotel!)

Quarto e casa de banho espaçosa. Cama muito confortável e sempre impecavelmente limpa. A localização do hotel é perfeita, muito perto de muitos pontos de interesse em Kyoto e próximo de todos os meios de transporte.

Cons:

The breakfast hall is heavily filled with the smell of fried food. The breakfast options include tempura and some other fried dishes. The moment you enter the hall, you are completely immersed in the smell, and if you are sensitive to odors clinging to you, you need to take a shower. You also have to wash your clothes. I reported this issue to the reception and stated that I did not want breakfast for the following days. They mentioned they were aware of the smell but could not offer a refund for the remaining days' breakfast.
