Very hot couldn’t sleep at all for 2 nights

La chaleur était intenable et toujours à 26° un vrai four et c’etais pas l’été ! Nous étions obligés d’ouvrir la porte de l’appartement plus la fenêtre (qui ne laisse pratiquement pas passer d’aire) et nous devons mettre un ventilateur devant la porte et devant la fenêtre pour créer un courant d’air et même avec cela nous avons jamais réussi à descendre la température en dessous de 25°

Studio Room is like an oven no opening window hopeless fan. We did visit during a hot weekend but overnight the temperature was 27 in the room and 18 outside. People were sleeping in the hall and on the settees. Other sitting on the terrace at 3AM. When we complained we were told they had provided a free standing fan as a goodwill gesture which we found in the wardrobe. Even tried lying on a damp towel .sheets were dirty, stains down the side of the toilet and on the sink cabinet.

Das Studio heizt sich extrem auf. Es lässt sich über das kleine zu öffnende Fenster und den Ventilator nicht kuhlen obwohl es draußen nicht heiß war. Das Waschbecken war winzig und auf Kniehöhe montiert. Die Toilettenspülung ging nur jedes 3 oder 4 mal und es ist ein Loch in der Wand im Badezimmer. Außerdem die Sicherung ist mehrfach rausgesprungen.

We travelled there during the heatwave in June 2026. The room had only one fixed small window, so there was no way to let (cooler) air into the room. There were only two extractor fans, one in the room and one in the toilet. We had to use these two, the noisy downdraft extractor (for the stove) at maximum power and try to keep the door open towards the lobby, whenever possible.

And nothing worked. Not only was it excruciatingly hot every second, but while you are sleeping, there are more stages of hell unleashing on your breathing, skin, general well being; it is genuinely horrible and you cannot properly sleep.
They do have a Dyson cooler in the room (that we were not aware of, it was tucked away and not mentioned anywhere in the welcome pack, nor in the email we've sent complaining about the temperature), but it did not make much difference even after being on for hours…

Apart from the tropical heat of the room, we were only provided with part of the custom toiletries (shampoo, conditioner and hand wash; no body wash/soap). And we were provided with 2 rolls of toilet papers for 5 days…. The trash cans, never emptied, could not accommodate all the trash accumulated over these days... And there was no indication where we could dispose of it either.

Suffice to say, the place looks nice but it is not for actual living there. It might work for student accommodation during cold months.

(We also met some other guests who were staying in the hallway at 11 pm, just because they couldn’t bear the heat in their own room. At least the air cooler was left in a visible place).

The explanation we got when we complained is that “heat travels upward and we were on the third floor”...

The window ( room # 11 ) was facing a BUSY street with a loud day's traffic.

No window so got very hot but the fan provided helped.

Toilet cistern continuously flushed all day and night
Room was on ground floor and very hot requiring 24 hour window open and fan on but otherwise lovely

Jesus suffering Christ- THE HEAT!!!!! Yes a fan was supplied but it was awful. The fan didn’t fully work nor really cool the room down. The door had to be left open which left it we didn’t sleep it was that unbearable. The window opened but the mesh made it pointless.

The studio apartment was inhumanly hot. I can handle heat but this was at a different level. The fan provided was not fit for purpose, when I contacted the out of hours number I was told that all the rooms had 1 Dyson fan and that was it. We had a cheap fan (but I believe the Dyson ones weren’t any better according to several other guests I spoke to.) Only when I contacted booking.com did they come with a 2nd fan that again had no impact whatsoever.
I had to sleep in the lobby for the first 2 nights and on my floor with room door open on 3rd. Over £700 to sleep on chairs and the floor!! I was embarrassed sleeping out there but had no choice. Due to the amount of concerts on, hotels were up at £400-500 per night.
I have never left a negative review for anywhere before, but I am so angry as there are similar concerns going back 2 years ago but obviously owners are more concerned with getting as much money in as possible instead of sorting it out. Had an amazing weekend of concerts, but really let down by this place. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! (

Bed was veel te klein voor met zijn tweeën
Hygiëne kon beter na veel zeuren kregen we extra set handdoeken
Keukenkraan was stuk en druppelde
Geen airco

Cobwebs on all windows
Shower could have been cleaner - tiles and grout need bleaching.
Only 1 opening window in whole apartment - natural air flow required as well as air conditioning.
Air conditioning display saying filters need cleaning.

When we arrived for our early checkin the room hadn't even been cleaned,we came back half an hour later,the room was so hot,we are in a heatwave no air-conditioning, tv didnt work,the shower was disgusting I had to clean it before I went in it,towels were stained,no staff anywhere,I emailed but it kept bouncing back.our few days away was ruined,and it cost a lot of money!!!

The window that opened, did so onto a metal fixed grate which supplied no air.
Lamp by the bed did not work, neither did the kitchen unit lights. Shower room door did not close properly.

Minor points - only one knife and maybe a frying pan could be useful but again only minor points not affecting our stay!
