Very clean and modern. Very nice staff.

Based on location, one night at this Marriott was not cheap. I love Marriott. I’m about a month away from Gold status, and I stay at Marriott because the experience is consistently a good one.

I mostly travel for business, but this was a family vacation. We stopped in Island Park for one night, with the original intent to float the river before heading to West Yellowstone, but weather looked like it might be less than ideal, so we rescheduled for a few days later. This is relevant, because it meant we’d have a lot more time just to chill at the hotel and use the amenities.

We decided to use the hot tub. My husband and son got in first. It was disgusting. Completely green with brown stuff floating in the bubbles and around the perimeter. My husband sent me a video. I posted it to AI and it gave me three potential water chemistry and maintenance issues. I went to the front desk to express my concerns. Spencer came out to address them, and I showed him the video. He said he had treated it an hour ago and it was good to go. He said they had a large group come in, and people tend to come in from the river and go into the hot tub, which results in dirt accumulation. I ran that response by AI, as well. It responded, “Oh Spencer… we appreciate the effort, but that’s is a bit of a stretch.” It said shocking it would take at least 12-24 hours to clear any algae, and that the brown organic foam and scum around the edges would require physical skimming, scrubbing, or a specialized enzyme treatment. Additionally, a body of water that green that was treated only an hour ago would likely have sky-high chlorine levels that could result in skin irritation, rashes, or burning eyes. The pool was in a similar state, so we ended up skipping both.

We decided to have some coffee, which is provided in the lobby, and sit on the deck. It was cold. Ok, so none of that.

We sat outside anyway. Then we went to dinner. When we got back, my husband sat outside and asked someone to start the fire pit. He was told it was broken, and they were waiting for a part. About an hour later an employee came out and started it (no part needed) By that time, he was getting ready to come in.

Why 3 stars? Because there were some pros. The people who work here are SO nice (including Spencer). The room was spacious and it was clean (though there was a large pink stain on the desk and the caulk was peeling away in the bath/shower). They were also able to provide foam pillows as one of us is allergic to feathers. Breakfast was good - everything I’d expect from Marriott.

I had an excellent experience at this hotel recently when I was stranded without a hotel room late at night with my daughter. Three of the desk employees went well out of their way to make sure we had a room for the night despite it being past the end of their shift. They put us in a beautiful room at a rate which was hundreds of dollars less than the hotels that we had looked at. The hotel lobby was trendy and welcoming, parking was abundant and easy to access, check in/check out was simple, and our room was quite, clean and amply stocked with amenities. The staff were really the highlight of our stay because they were so accommodating and kind. Excellent front desk staff! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. Everything was very clean, modern, and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was spacious and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and had a great variety of options. The location is excellent, just a short drive from Yellowstone National Park, making it very convenient for exploring the area. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and we truly enjoyed our stay.

What an exceptional place! Super clean, staff was wonderful. The room was spacious, beds were very comfortable. Lovely place. Will stay here again.

This hotel is located an hour+ away from our Airport in Bozeman. It's a few minutes away from the West Entrance of Yellowstone, which was nice, but it's on a main highway, so there's very little things within the walking vicinity except a Mexican restaurant, which we ate at 2-3 times, gas station and grocery store.

The lobby is great, and it had a pool table which we played each time for the 4-5 nights we stayed. We used the pool and jacuzzi a few times, and met a few travelers that way. The bar was nice, and we met travelers that way as well, since there's not a lot outside of the hotel. The staff is amazing, and helpful. We had a nice dinner at a restaurant just a few minutes drive from the hotel. From the hotel, we went to Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, Big Sky, etc.

We found the location of this place quite convenient to visit Yellowstone Park on daily basis, during our 4 days trip in third week of May 2026. It takes about 30 minutes drive to reach west entrance to Yellowstone. The hotel is located in a quiet, peaceful and scenic area. There is plenty of parking. But the dining options are quite limited especially in late evening. The amenities provided were slightly below average and not worth the money in terms of quality. Beds were comfortable. Buffet was disappointing. We spent 4 nights and didn’t bother to visit buffet on 3rd and 4th day. They serve same items every day.

The hotel staff bring about the warmth and coziness in this place. Everyone is so nice and work so hard!

Special shout out to the kitchen staff! The food is delicious along with excellent service. Anastasia, Beth, and Barbara are so so sweet and kind. They work so hard so I wish them the best and have all good vibes come their way.

The hotel location is very peaceful and quiet and the view to a small river right next to it is great.

There is one thing though regarding room cleanliness. We checked in to clean rooms the first day, however, the room refresh was done very poorly (no proper vacuuming/cleaning anywhere).

Other than this one thing, our experience was good.

The location was perfect for our visit to Yellowstone National Park. It took us about an hour to reach the west gate; this was prior to the Memorial Day weekend. The hotel was clean and quiet even though it was close to a highway. It was located right on the river which helped create a vacation like atmosphere. The front desk staff was pleasant and provided recommendations for places to eat, etc. without hesitation.

This hotel located about a half an hour from the western entrance of Yellowstone is just a perfect getaway from the crowds. Every employee was kind and welcoming. The breakfasts were well above average and the food in the restaurant was actually quite good. The room and entire property was very clean and made my first trip to Idaho and the Yellowstone area a huge success. I’ll definitely be back.

Stayed here as a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum member and had a really great experience overall. The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful during the entire stay.

One thing I really liked is that all of the rooms are suites, which made the stay feel much more spacious and comfortable. Our room setup had two beds plus an additional sofa bed, which worked out perfectly for family travel.

The property itself is also very nice, and the scenery/view around the hotel was beautiful and relaxing. Breakfast was solid as well with a good variety to start the day before heading to Yellowstone.

Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in Island Park, and I would definitely consider staying here again.
