The ultimate views
Lots of levels and stairs. Not suitable for persons with mobility issues. However, the staff did everything they could to help and accommodate.
O hotel é lindíssimo. Está numa localização espectacular, com uma vista de perder o fôlego.
Não tínhamos roupão, nem chinelos de quarto. O pequeno almoço tinha pouca variedade. Realmente o hotel não é para quem esteja abaixo de forma. Muitas escadas para aceder a todo o lado.
Beautiful views on the Douro River, nice pool area and onsite vineyard with wine tasting
There is a restaurant on site which offers buffet breakfast and dinner. During lunchtime the Ala carte selection is rather limited. Further what is missing would be a cosy bar for after dinner drinks to enjoy some of their nice wines at sunset. Your option is limited to the big dining room where the buffet is. That wasn’t so cosy.

The property is very pretty with nice views. Breakfast was a large impressive spread. The staff was kind and as helpful as they could be when we had issues.
This stay was the most expensive of our 12 day trip, and ultimately the most disappointing. Our room was like a dungeon with two very small 1x3 windows, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the AC would not get to below 25 celsius no matter settings we tried. The pool chairs were full by 10AM at both pools and would stay that way until well into the early evening. The first night we were not able to book at the buffet because it was full and the only option is the "snack bar" which is $20 burgers and sandwiches. The main restaurant we had booked the hotel to dine at was completely booked for our entire stay. The second night we were able to eat the buffet, which was decent value for the price, but ultimately we opted to leave a day early because we were just very disappointed in the whole experience. The staff was helpful and offered to move us to another room with larger windows when we expressed that no images of the dark room we were put in appear anywhere on the booking site, but at that point all of the other issues just made it not worth our time to stay. While this property is nice, it seemed very overbooked when guests can't get restaurant reservations or pool chairs.
