Pros:

The hotel was clean, beds comfortable, spacious enough room, and price reasonable. The people at the desk were helpful and personable.

Cons:

Did not have basics for breakfast. They ran out of food. One of the workers indicated that a shipment of food would arrive later that day, although that was of no help to us!

A Gem in Maryland
Pros:

If you need a nice, clean, friendly, convenient, affordable, hotel the Microtel Inn & Suites is the place. My wife and I have stayed here now for the 3rd time while visiting my son in Maryland. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It is located next to a large shopping center with everything you might need... restaurants, groceries, Target, movie theater. We drove into DC twice over the weekend and it only took about 30min.

They gave us a room that had an extremely strong chemical smell. I don't know why they don't check the rooms before hand

They gave us a room that had an extremely strong chemical smell. I don't know why they don't check the rooms before handing them over. My daughter and I had to run out of that room less than five minutes after arriving because we couldn't stop coughing from the chemical smell. The receptionist told us we could leave the hotel if we wanted. But that's the Inc. Betel in that city, and I had to be there. Besides, my daughter wasn't feeling well; she just wanted to rest, which was one of the reasons we had to stay. Then the receptionist gave us another room, and we moved there.

Pros:

I broke my hip and didn't come. My sister Joyce Crawford came on and had only good things to say. It was my mother's 97th surprise birthday party. Everything went well and she enjoyed herself.

As a first stay at this chain hotel, we were impressed with the cleanliness, value price and seamless booking and check-in. Channing, hotel receptionist, was pleasant and facilitative of our check-in. Given the pricey nature of downtown Annapolis hotels, it was worth the 25 minute drive from this outskirts hotel. While small, the rooms were sufficiently stocked with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, etc. Also, a complimentary breakfast with waffle station is included with your stay. Finally, there are many nearby restaurants and retail shops.
