Views over Seto Sea
Pros:

We staying in a separate building to the main hotel. It was fairly new and smelled of fresh timber which was wonderful. From the balcony we had a 180 degree view across the Seto Sea. An upstairs floor would be perfect for children to sleep. A sauna in the bathroom which was very relaxing after a day of walking. Staff were lovely.

Cons:

It is a 12 minute walk into the port town so we chose to have dinner at the hotel. Food was acceptable but fixed menu so not a choice and not a lot of variety.

Pros:

Perfect location, lovely views, great room. Helpful to be able to hire bikes from the hotel and a nice touch to have bags taken down near the ferry terminal so we could cycle out one last time on our last morning.

A decent option for staying on Naoshima, especially given the limited accommodation choices available on the island.

The location was convenient, within walking distance of the port, although be prepared for a fairly steep uphill walk with luggage. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the view, which was absolutely stunning and made for a memorable setting.

The room itself was quite small and felt a little tired. It also didn’t feel as clean as we would have liked, and there were very few amenities beyond the basics. However, the price was relatively reasonable compared to some of the other accommodation options on the island.

Overall, while the hotel wasn’t particularly luxurious, it served its purpose as a base for exploring Naoshima. If your priority is spending your days enjoying the island’s art and scenery rather than the hotel itself, it’s a perfectly adequate choice.

Die Lage, das Personal, die Wohnung ist sehr schön, geschmackvoll gebaut und eingerichtet.
Der Balkon der Wohnung ist toll, wunderbare Aussicht

Cons:

Wlan war langsam, es gab eine Art Küche, aber nicht wirlich ausgestattet, keine Trockentücher oder Ablage fürs Geschirr.
Restaurant fleischlastig, keine wirklichen vegetarischen Alternativen

Lovely stay, sweet staff, and beautiful view.
Pros:

Breakfast was good. It would be better if it was set and there could be choices, mixing eastern and western.

Sandals seemed dangerous. Steps are steep.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. It is exactly where you want to stay while visiting Naoshima. They rent electric bikes, which are the best way to get around the island. The views are amazing. This is such a unique experience. Also, I LOVE that there are no TVs in the rooms. If you are there for the art and the natural beauty, then there is no need for a TV. The wifi works well, so you can use your own device. The staff were also exceptional. This place is top rate! I hope can return someday!

Vu l’emplacement de l’hôtel et le prix ( + 200€ la nuit ) une navette sur réservation depuis le ferry serait la bienvenue car même si certains commentaires situent l’hôtel proche du ferry , il est en haut d’une colline et a plus de 10 mn
